(Y/N) couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at his sudden change in demeanor.
"... w-wait. I'm not sure we should be unchaperoned before the wedding, missy..." he stammered, his voice wavering slightly.
(Y/N) gave him a bewildered look. 'Who was this new Tsukasa?' The confident young man she knew had suddenly transformed into a blushing mess.
As she pondered what could have happened to his old self, a soft, cute laugh escaped Tsukasa's lips, bringing a warm flutter to her heart.
"Pfftt! You think I would say something like that? Ahaha! If I must be honest, I'd like to be with you alone~ in the dark~ How's that sound, little missy?"
A stunned silence enveloped them.
"..."
"Hm~ What's with that look?" Tsukasa teased, leaning in closer with a playful glint in his eyes. "Well, on the other hand, Amane left the details up to me, so I can't leave... even if you want me to~"
His nonchalant attitude seemed to bounce back like a cat playing with its prey. (Y/N) felt the tension in the air as Tsukasa fell silent, a heartbeat or two stretching into an uncomfortable moment between them.
'Well, maybe I can start by getting Lord Tsukasa to understand what is happening here...'
"Um, I really am—" she began, hoping to clear up the misunderstanding. But Tsukasa swiftly interrupted her.
"You must have your reasons. There's no need to force yourself to talk about it."
His tone shifted, exuding a seriousness that reminded (Y/N) of the dignified man he could be. But her thoughts were tangled.
"What...?" she wondered. What did he mean by reasons? Why did it feel like she was being forced into silence?
"I apologize for being so sudden and hasty," he said, his voice sincere, cheeks still flushed. "I'm sorry for making you feel uncomfortable. How about this? Let's start again."
He exited the shop with a gentle smile that caught (Y/N) off guard—one she had never seen before, not once in all their previous encounters.
'By the way, start again...? I'm not sure how that's going to solve anything.'
"Arghh... Damn it!" she shouted, sighing in frustration.
'How did I get myself into this?'
Alone in the shop, which now felt like a tempest had just blown through, she let out another exasperated sigh.

Meanwhile, Tsukasa returned to the inn, where Amane was leisurely sipping a cup of tea. He looked up as Tsukasa entered, his curiosity piqued.
"Tsukasa? What do you think of that girl?" Amane asked, his tone casual yet intrigued.
Tsukasa paused, pondering for a moment. "She's... well, I do think she's a bit of a free spirit, true. But she's also a good, caring woman. Plus, I think she has the same aura as you, Amane. So, I like her."
Amane's eyebrows shot up in surprise. He had never seen his brother speak with such sincerity, especially about a woman. A smile crept onto his lips, warmed by his brother's uncharacteristic openness.
"How do you feel about her, Amane?" Tsukasa asked in a low voice, a rare moment of vulnerability shining through.
Amane was taken aback, a slight chuckle escaping him. "I agree. It's just as you say, Tsukasa."
"Amane..." Tsukasa pressed, eager for his brother's thoughts.
"Mm hmm?" Amane replied, leaning back in his chair, clearly entertained by the unexpected conversation.
