Chapter 10

Becca’s P.O.V

‘Where are you going all dressed up?’ I asked as Lily applied the last bit of her mascara.

‘I actually don’t know, Jai said something about going somewhere special?’ she replied.

‘How cute’ I rolled my eyes and slumped down on my bed.

‘It’s Friday night Becca, you can’t stay in!’ she looked down at me in my sweats and hoodie.

‘Watch me’ I replied stubbornly.

‘How about you come round with me?’ she smirked. I knew she knew there was something going on between me and Beau, if you could even call it ‘going on’. I wasn’t too sure myself.

I sighed and got dressed into some skinnies and a jumper and pulled my hair out of its pony, looking vaguely presentable, said goodbye to Katy then followed Lily out.

‘Didn’t know you were coming round?’ Jai asked as we walked into his house.

‘Neither did I’ I looked and Lily and she just pulled a ‘you’ll thank me later’ face.

‘BEAU!’ Jai screamed as a topless Beau came down the stairs, closely followed by Luke. I tried to divert my glance but it kept focusing back to his toned abs and perfect tanned arms, wait Becca, what are you doing?

‘Becca!’ he quickly grabbed a shirt from the side of the stairs as I looked down sheepishly, not knowing what to do. Jai and Lily tried to stifle their laughs and walked out, leaving just me and Beau. I flopped down on the sofa and turned on the TV.

‘Oh yeah make yourself at home’ he laughed sarcastically, pushing my legs over so he could sit down.

‘Well considering I could have stayed at home tonight, but Lily persuaded me to come here, I will make myself at home’

‘Clearly you couldn’t wait to see me again’ he smirked.

‘Of course’ I laughed sarcastically.

‘You just want to kiss me again’ he smirk grew bigger as he watched me blush. ‘We should do that again sometime’ he winked.

‘We’re just...’ I started.

‘We’re just friends, I know Becca, I know’ he finished for me, not quite meaning what he said.

I looked back at the TV but I could feel Beau’s stare on my back. He shuffled over and started to play with my hair, wrapping pieces round his finger. I could feel my heart beat starting to get faster as he cupped his hand round my cheek and gently brought it to face him. I could feel his breath tickle my lips as he hovered over them before I crashed my lips onto his as he dropped his hand to my waist, he carefully licked my lips for entrance which I granted and we stayed like that for what felt like forever. Eventually we both pulled away, we didn’t say anything I just lay my head on his chest and he hugged my waist. Somehow I think the whole ‘just friends’ thing wasn’t working out.

Lily’s P.O.V

I watched Becca not knowing what to do with herself as a, taken by surprise, Beau walked down the stairs, followed by Luke. Jai went to quickly grab some money when Luke came up to me, we made slight eye contact as he slowly went close to my ear.

‘You look stunning by the way’

Shivers went down my spine as his warm breath tickled my skin, but he quickly walked away when Jai arrived back at my side.

‘Why won’t you tell me where we’re going?’ I whinged as we found some seats on the train.

‘Then that would ruin the surprise’ he smiled.
