I've been really bitter for the past few days. Everybody noticed it and everyone was fed up with it. Mom still had the key to my studio and took my phone away, Jason had me training way harder and would give me extra drills, Jaxon and the others avoid me at school so all I had left was Luca.
Speaking of, I was going to his party later. I was in big trouble with my mom but I needed a way to destress. I already had a plan ready just to make it work. I packed two books, some pens and my car keys in my book bag, then swung it over my shoulder. Stepping out of my room, I bumped into Maïa.
"Sorry." she apologized in her tiny voice.
I groaned. Always in my way, always disturbing me. I was honestly so fed up with her. My life was sh*t because of her and I felt like letting her know wassup.
"Man f*ck that! You're always in my way, always breaking and ruining sh*t! You've just been ruining my life ever since you got here and you think you're so cute doing it don't you? I already hate kids enough, but you? You're just a whole other level of annoying. Stop crossing my path you little brat."
She stared at me wide eyed, as if she couldn't believe what I just told her. Well believe it. Her lips quivered and her eyes started tearing up. Oh great...
"That hurt Jaheem."
And she ran off to her room after that. Bruh.
I went down to let my mom know I was leaving. I suddenly felt a little odd I didn't know why. Maybe because she looked at me like Navia did the first time she dumped me. Or maybe because she didn't call me "big brother" for the first time. I shook it off though, I didn't want to go to a party in a worst mood.
"Hey ma? I'm going over to Luca's to study."
"Okay but don't stay out too late." she replied keeping her eyes on the vegetables she was cutting.
My feet slid into my white Nike Air Max's and took me out the house. I hopped into my whip, getting ready to head to Luca's street light party. I was originally going to show up in red with Navia, but we weren't on speaking terms so I wore so a yellow hoodie paired with a yellow durag and light grey jeans.
Once I made it to my bro's house, I immediately noticed all the cars parked out. Outside there were some people in green flirting with each other, a couple in yellow and a girl in green trying to get the attention of a guy in red. I walked passed them and entered the very noisy building. After asking for Luca, I was directed to the basement so I went to find him. Instead of finding him, I saw something I never thought I'd be prepared for.
Dressed in her green off the shoulder dress, she laughed with a guy who seemed to be flirting with her. I frowned and felt my fists clench. I thought Navia hated parties? And why was she in green when we didn't break up?
I went up to them and stood tall in front of that boy.
"Back off." I growled, with a menacing glare.
"Man chill, I—"
"I said back off!"
I now had my arms crossed across my puffed out chest, a trick I learnt to make me look bigger and intimidate my opponents. He scurried away, smart enough to avoid problems. As I turned around, Navia was walking away. I quickly grabbed her arm and pulled her back.
"Let go of me!" she yelled, possibly gaining some attention.
"Why are you shouting? What's your problem?!"
"You're my problem Jaheem! Does it look like I want to speak with you right now?!"
"Does it look like I want you speaking with other boys right now?!"
"What I do is none of your concern! I may have said it before but I'm dead serious this time: we are done!" she said sternly and yanked her hand away "And even if you change there's nothing that will make me go out with you again. I've truly seen who you are and I will never be okay with that."
She walked away before I could say anything. My nostrils flared and I felt my face get hot. Why?! She couldn't do that!
"Oh sh*t." Luca mumbled walking over to me.
"I'm going home." I said but the biracial boy stopped me.
"Nah you ain't. You're not showing up to my party then leaving right away just cause of some chick. You just need a drink."
"I drove here and my mom thinks we're studying. Good night, enjoy your party."
I tried to walk off again but he blocked me once more.
"I'm serious, just a chill a min. We need to get you changed first though."
I followed him up to the first floor, where the music was louder and people were dancing, then up to the second floor and into his room. He handed me a green t-shirt and a green du-rag.
"Just leave your clothes in my room, you can pick them up before you leave. Also don't forget to lock the door." he said.
"Sure." I replied and he left.
I got changed quickly and was about to leave. As my hand gripped the door knob, I looked down at the ice on my wrist. I removed it and threw it with my clothes.
If she's done then so am I.

"What did you do?!"
The second I stepped into my house I was greeted by my angry, teary eyed mom.
"What?" I asked, my eyebrows knitting in confusion.
"Jaheem what did you do?!" she shouted again but this time grabbing me by the collar of my hoodie.
"I don't know what you're talking about!"
"I meant to Maïa! What did you do to her?!"
"I don't know! What's wrong?"
Mom let go of me and started crying some more.
"She's gone! My baby is gone and I have a strong feeling that it's because of you!"
"She ran away?"
