After poisons, I had my lunch before going to my personal heaven: PE. It consists of me sitting on the bleachers, catching up with homework and studying the topics I covered throughout the day whilst everyone else played dodgeball or football. Afterwards is 'freetime', a couple of hours where students are free to socialise in the mess hall or do homework before tea.
The canteen has high roofing with long, rustic support beams supporting the stone ceiling. The walls appear less smooth, using cobblestone and cement to create a sort of medieval vibe. The serving station is on the left of the grande, oak double doors, consisting of multiple options and almost unlimited food.
The table setup is determined primarily by tiers. The popular table is a very long, rectangular piece that runs the width of this gigantic room. From that as the centre point, shorter tables stagger from it; those who are seen as more important to those who are the double L: lonely losers.
Tea is boring as usual, I sit on the popular table where royalty and friends righteously sit; a tight knit group of acquaintances that put up appearances for the fun of it. There's a lot of benefits being popular, no point putting it to waste by sitting alone. Even if the company is hardly adequate.
"So I had a thought today," Brent Amber, Greed's son begins. He's a brunette who's slim and loves to wear high-end brands. "What would happen if Olivia Green got a boyfriend?"
I let out a sigh and ignore the question as everyone's eyes land on me, fairly easily I may add. I do sit at the centre of the table for obvious reasons.
"Blasphemy High's very own Green Queen settling down?" Felix chides in faux shock. "That's unbelievable, we all know she's as committable as a hooker."
"No," I answer smoothly. "I don't want to waste my time on relationships when I'm in year eleven. Especially since all of Envy's boys are so... slimy."
It's a law that demons aren't allowed to be in official relationships with other demon types; this keeps the separations in the seven kingdoms clean, as well as maintaining our empire's success.
"Don't offend my boy Felix," Brent says defensively, wrapping an arm around Fernsby's shoulders, feigning sadness. "This is my best mate."
"I'm just being honest," I shrug a shoulder. "I'd much rather have some fun instead of being tied down. Far too serious for my liking, especially since we're not even fully flourished yet."
"I can respect that," Nicollet Cerulean nods; one of Lust's multiple children who is a year thirteen student with dark blue hair, pale blue skin and midnight eyes. "Plus it's more fun if you mess around. You learn more... techniques."
I look over to her and we share a knowing smirk, she bites her lower lip and cocks an eyebrow whilst I can't help but stare. Tingles shoot down my spine at the intensity and I can tell from her flared nostrils that she can smell my arousal. So can the other lust peers around me, however they're used to it. There's always someone with a dirty thought on the popular table.
Green apples and cinnamon.
I soak it in lovingly and stare curiously around at everyone else as the conversation pursues. I look at Felix and also Charlie who are both sat next to each other, both chatting away. I wonder if one of them has a crush on Nicollet, she is gorgeous and stunning. A strong lustful entity who entices her prey with her porcelain smile and surreal characteristics.
I finish my chicken Caesar salad and set my cutlery aside, sighing contently at my full stomach.
Charlie grabs my attention and mouths the words, 'are we still on' before wiggling his brows suggestively, a boyish grin embellishing itself on his handsome face. I nod slightly before glancing at his older brother Ryan to make sure he didn't catch it.
There are three Mauve brothers currently in Blasphemy High. Ryan who's in year twelve, has the signature golden curls atop his head with short sides; his wings are the familial purple-Black ombré bat wings that look gorgeous, muscled and lean from constantly flying and hitting the gym. Of course there is Charlie, however their little brother Zayne is only in year seven.
Zayne still sits with the popular students due to his royal status, inviting the one friend to sit at the end of the long table along with other young royalty. His hair is more longish compared to Charlie's, for his age he has a smart mouth and is incredibly mischievous, often pulling pranks on unsuspecting faculty members or his peers. He is honestly one of the few students in school who I don't detest.
"So Olivia," Brent continues to pursue. "If you had to date someone in this school, who would it be?"
I raise my brow, "What are we? In nursery?"
Charlie chuckles, "I couldn't agree more."
Brent casts Charlie a rude glance before playing it off with a creepy smile, "Take it seriously. Let's pretend that we don't have the law which forbids us from having relationships with the different types. Who would you pick?"
"Myself."
Felix clucks his tongue, "You're not fun."
"I think the majority of us have a very different version of fun, Fernsby. Childish antics like this isn't my particular way of having fun."
"Queen Green," Brent clutches his chest dramatically. "We don't want to hurt your feelings. We're just curious is all."
"Fine," I shrug a single shoulder. "I'd go with Nicollet Cerulean."
"Yeesh," Felix fans himself. "Wouldn't I like to see some of —"
"Pervert," I roll my eyes.
"What? Seeing the two hottest girls in school get it on, that's the best thing to get off to."
"You think we're the hottest girls in school?" Nicollet smirks at Felix. "Sounds like you have a crush."
"I'm just saying it's true, I think everyone on this table will agree," Felix huffs, however I can see the tips of his ears turn faintly red. Intriguing.
"Oh and Olivia?" Nicollet adds in harmlessly. "I'm certainly honoured."
