i just want to say that thank you everyone for supporting this story– it has been a long ass ride indeed but this is where this ends :((

quite sad that village girl has now ended but we got ourselves happy boys and a happy jaeyoung who finally found her true home.

lol i'm gonna miss injae :(

    MIN JAEYOUNG

everything seemed perfect. no more drama, no more worrying about a war coming. and to top that, i found a home.

i always told miyeon that a home isn't exactly your house. it could be anywhere as long as you were with the people you love and cherish, you are most definitely home.

home is like a feeling. you'd feel it whenever you're with your friends or loved ones. i always considered the bakery and miyeon as my home. i longed to find my parents, and wished that someday i would be able to meet them.

and i did!

it was the best birthday i could ever ask for.

i found eighteen homes and it's ironic that they happened to be princes, but to me, they're my friends. my family. my everything.

months passed after my birthday, i went back to school. everyone was quite shocked, after knowing i was actually a princess, it felt weird.

i still consider my self as a village girl, after all, all royals are just villagers with a status. we all live in the same town, we all were born as a soldier.

experiencing a lot through the past months, i learned a lot and noticed a lot of changes. since we were told to journal about our life, i took that chance to write down everything i had gone through.

from meeting each prince, to figuring out i was a princess, and to celebrating my birthday with the people i love.

today, it was typically saturday morning as i ran outside to the courtyard, shouting a specific name. i was currently staying at the palace in valfield as i wanted to spend more time with my family.

i heard from my brother that the boys will be visiting today and they did. i pouted my lips, i had just finished getting ready and chenle already bombarded me, bursting into my room as i was reading.

he stole the book from my grasp, making me ran out of my bed, thankfully i was already dressed up for the day.

"yah! give that back!" i whined as chenle ran off with my favorite book. chenle just laughed hysterically while holding the book in his hand. "how did i even end up here?" i scrunched my face as i glared at chenle who was still running with my book.

renjun somehow magically popped next to me as he placed a hand on his chin, "hmm– good question. i have no idea." he chuckled.

i sighed, "i want my book back, lele."

"aww, fine. i'll give you your book back because i don't want to get scolded by taeyong hyung again." he said and gave my book back to me.

"speaking of hyung, look! there they are!" chenle pointed out. i turned to where he was pointing and saw the rest of their siblings, walking together.

"good morning!!" i waved at them as they waved at me too.

"have you eaten?" donghyuck asked me.

i shook my head, "nope."

i heard taeil sigh, "didn't i tell you to eat? come, let's get you food." he muttered and grabbed my wrist.

"hey, no fair. we haven't eaten yet! why don't you feed us?" doyoung pouted.

"simple, cause you're not her."

i laughed at taeil's comment and went to pinch doyoung's cheek, "how about we all go get some breakfast?"

"mhm, i'm starving." jaemin agreed and rubbed his stomach.

"hello starving!" lucas waved at him childishly making most of the boys burst into a laugh.

"let's go get breakfast." kun ushered everyone back into the palace.

"my lady!"

"yes lucas?"

"let's bake another cake!"

my eyes widened in horror as i smiled nervously at him, "how about we leave the baking for me and kun only, hm?"

"unless you want this whole palace to end up burning in flames..."

lucas gasped, "no! of course not– yes, let's not bake."

"how about we cook instead?"

"lucas!" the boys all chorused.

jisung giggled, "that's just the same!"

"okay okay fine. sheesh, just wanted some bonding time."

each of them are special on their own way. i remember meeting some of them and they weren't really the nicest, but i tried to understand them. after all, they were just afraid of history repeating itself.

"my lady?"

"yes lucas?" i chuckled, wondering what this boy would say this time.

"thank you," he said softly, "for being my lady."

i scrunched my nose and playfully punched his shoulder, "no, thank you for treating me good enough to be your lady." i smiled at him.

we all waked together to the dining hall, some would admire the paintings that were hung up on the wall, kind of like what i did when i first entered their palace.

i had renjun beside me as his expression perplexed, gasping softly as he pointed at the wall, "that's..."

i smiled and nodded, "your paintings."

"i didn't thought you would hang them up here, injae."

i nudged him, "injun, they are special and are very beautiful. i will cherish them forever!"

just like how i would cherish this family forever.

and that's where this ends :((

it's short i knOooow but that's the point (there is no point) however it does bring us back to the intro where you see chenle stealing her book :p

anyways i love y'all and thank you so much!

goodbye heraphany :(
