Twilight Railgun: The Power of God Fusion.

Mikoto stepped back. Stunned. "No.. I'm not ready yet.."

"Aww.. because you couldn't find Natsu in time.. and free the Numensapien?" said Asgawrath. "Granted, that would have given you an edge, no denying.. but unfortunately.. even then, the Numensapien would have been no match for me.."

Asgawrath chuckled. "So.. my love.. shall we honor the deal..? Come.. try and take yourself back from me.."

Mikoto clenched her fists.. lightning began to flash from her eyes as she wiped some blood from her chin.. "Alright.. Asgawrath.. I won't give up.. not when I've come so far.. Kon.. you might want to hide.."

Kon clutched Mikoto's shoulder with his stuffed paws. "I-I know I'm useless in a fight.. but.. I'm not going anywhere.."

Mikoto smiled. "I guess.. this is it.."

Mikoto crouched getting ready to charge... but before she could.. there was a sudden explosion of fire.. a and the door exploded behind her.. Mikoto turned slowly.. hardly daring to believe the hope that was rising in her heart... and it was true.. the hope held true..

Standing framed in the doorway, the two of them looking battered and bruised... was Natsu and Touma.. and standing right behind them.. amazingly enough.. was Ulquiorra Cifer, his sword drawn, and his cold eyes boring straight at Asgawrath..

"Heya Mikoto!" said Natsu with a grin. "Saved some for us?"

"You bet!!" said Mikoto.

Asgawrath's eyes widened with fury. "How.. how could you have survived!? AND HOW COULD YOU HAVE FOUND THIS PLACE SO QUICKLY!!? I placed you in the darkest and farthest area..."

"You didn't account for me.." said Ulquiorra. "I found them and was able to guide them by sensing Mikoto's reitsu. When planning, it's better to take all the variables into account.."

"You are correct.." said Asgawrath with a cold angry stare. "So.. I shall take them into account right now.. and wipe those variables from the board myself.. as I should have done ages ago!!"

Asgawrath raised the Lance of Gungnir.. and a massive beam of black light so powerful that reality itself seemed to shake.. exploded out.. blasting towards the target that Asgawrath hated most...

Mikoto saw the blast as if in slow motion.. she let out a scream.."TOUMA!!!!"

Mikoto's wings exploded to life as she shot over like a bullet, and pushed Touma out of the way..

And in one heart throbbing moment.. the beam blasted straight through Mikoto's chest...

Mikoto coughed up blood.. looking absolutely stunned at what just happened.."Oh.. crap.. not again.."

Natsu could be seen screaming Mikoto's name as she felt herself falling back.. however.. for some reason.. she could hear nothing...

Ulquiorra's eyes were wide with shock.. an expression that didn't usually apear on the calm and cold Arrancar's face..

Asgawrath.. looked furious with grief and blatant anger... the Lance of Gungnir in his hand.. was rippling and tearing itself apart...

Mikoto could tell.. his plan involved her being defeated.. not dying..

The Lance of Gungnir.. was dying...killed by it's own power..

Mikoto felt some strong arms catch her.. being surprisingly gentle.. and she saw Touma's face only inches from hers.. as  her vision continued to dim.. and she was surprised to see something that she had never seen before.. never in her life..
