Chapter 12 Who are you? part 3

Chaeryoung's perspectives have been bothering her for quite a while now. She was keen from the very start at how Ryujin never showed any hesitation on stepping out of the council's office amidst the situation and how Yuna survived her zombie battle inside the gymnasium when Chaeryoung, herself can't even manage one infected. But along the way, Chaeryoung decided to disregard the thought not until she heard what the childhood friends were talking about.

'trained for these kind of situation'

She can't help but wonder that maybe these two have something to do with the outbreak and sudden isolation. And it strengthened her curiosity the moment she witnessed with her own eyes how her high school student president skillfully engaged in combat with these experienced military buffs.

With no visible fear from Ryujin, she strikes consecutively and swiftly moved to evade her opponents. For just a few seconds to minutes, the two soldiers were already down to the floor. Much to Chaeryoung's surprise, she expected these soldiers to be wincing in pain but no, there were literally knocked out by a student to add that up.

Seeing Ryujin approaching the last soldier which appears to have a higher rank, she felt shiver all over her body. She can't hardly explain the aura emitting from Ryujin, as if she was a different person. Chaeryoung almost forget to breathe at the sight but didn't drop her observation.

"You... who are you?" the man's eyes were shaking, completely shock on what had happened but soon, he regained his composure and charged towards Ryujin for multiple punches which like from the previous fight, Ryujin easily dodged and blocked making her step back a bit before pouncing in return for a counter.

Chaeryoung can see how the last soldier was skillful enough to make Ryujin step up her game on the fight, making the previous battle more like a warm-up. But then again, Ryujin's fighting skill were impressive and evolving resulting not just for Chaeryoung but also the enemy to be in awe.

Finally, after couple of blocks and speedy dodges, Ryujin managed to make a punch and kick combo to the enemy's stomach making him crouch from the impact, which was followed by a bolley kick but the soldier was fast enough to take a step back on time prompting Ryujin's kick and taking a softer impact.

The enemy was fast to make a counter kick behind her knee the moment she landed, resulting for Ryujin to slide while kneeling due to the impact but before Ryujin could move, Chaeryoung gasped at the sight. "Ryujin..."

The second Ryujin, kneeled. The soldier was quick to pull his gun and pointed it at the back of Ryujin's head. "Enough of your games." The soldier instructed. Due to his pride and confidence, he was certain that she could beat this student on a hand to hand combat but as the fight progressed, he felt a slight intimidation and threat and ended up on a decision to use his gun so that Ryujin can no longer take a chance.

"Who are you?! And what do you want?!" he asked but her answer didn't quite appeal to the soldier. "I'm Shin Ryujin. Class 2-A and the student council president of ICY high school..."

"and... I want you to help us."

The soldier was able to hide his surprise with his emotionless face. He internally scoffed at the sudden idea that after everything, this girl wanted his help, but it made him curious on second thought, but before he could answer, the student president spoke once again. "be it by your own will..."

With unbelievable speed, Ryujin turned around, grab his wrist, and pushed it upward with one hand then made a circular movement with the other, pushing the gun's direction around breaking the man's finger as she stood up. And in one snap, both Chaeryoung and the soldier can't believe the turn of events. The gun was now pointed few inches to the soldier's forehead with Ryujin successfully taking the gun from his hold.

"...or by force."

The soldier felt a short of breath on what he had witnessed. Just when he thought that he had the upper hand, this girl in front of her took a chance. "You need to learn to never let your guard down, Mr..." briefly look at the man's name on his uniform before looking back to meet his eyes and added "Mr. Tuan, M."

As an above average skilled soldier, that brief glance away from his eyes, he took his chances of kicking the gun off Ryujin's grip. But to his surprise, he felt his knees tremble making him sit on the floor. "What the..." was all he could exclaim. "Hmm... I guess it took effect, that hit on your jaw. I guess I was able to hit a good spot?" Ryujin explained. And that moment, Mr. Tuan accepted his defeat by saying "it's Mark. Mark Tuan."

"So, what help do you need from me? It looks like you don't even need any. " he stated. "We just need a ride, an armored vehicle to be precise. With you as the driver of course" Ryujin answered. "To where?" he questioned back.

"To a certain lab in the main city."

After accepting the request and apologizing for his subordinates' filthy attitudes toward them, Ryujin, Chaeryoung and Mark went back to the other room to check on the others. Upon opening the door, Mark had a mix of his emotions between relief and dismay as they witness how Yuna was sitting on the bulky soldier's chest and ruthlessly punching him, with the same girl smiling on the sight of the bloody immobile soldier. Relieved for the fact that both girls were okay and dismayed at how unsightly his guys were beaten up.

"Shin Yuna. Stop." with a sigh, Ryujin commanded which made Yuna successfully followed, turning her head to see them at the door. "Oh. You're here" and with a grin, the younger said as if she expected that they will be back in any minute.

That scene victoriously sends shivers to Mark's body. He swiftly looked at his side to whisper at the normal looking, by his perspectives, Chaeryoung. Leaning in and covering the side of his mouth.

"Tell me, they're not normal right? or is it just me?"
