There is a feeling of emptiness
that is so hard to hide;
it's been there for most my life;
I can't get it out of my mind.
He's been gone for quite a while;
And it makes me want to cry;
When he isn't there beside me;
It makes me want to die.
But I know I need to stay strong;
I'll be with him soon;
Even then leaving would be hard;
It would be like going to the moon.
But I guess that's the way things are;
miserable day by day;
and that lonely feeling of emptiness;
won't seem to go away.
