Song: Dissolve - Absofacto & Phone - Lizzo

---------------------------------------------------------

Bakugo and I face each other in the secluded field, poised in our respective fighting stances. His knees are bent and his hands are splaid in front of his body palms facing upwards. Bakugo's muscular arms tense with anticipation of his next move. His attractive features twisting into a wicked grin.

He looks like he is going to have the time of his life murdering me.

I hold my own, not wanting to be phased by the powerful aura coming from my opponent. My knees are bent slightly with my dominant foot leading. Similarly to Bakugo, my hands are also in front of my body, but my palms are facing outwards towards my competitor.

A moment passes as we size each other up. Trying to predict who would make the first move.

I need to keep my wits about me. I can't hold back against this guy. 1 - I need to prove I am not worthless, and 2 - It would be foolish to underestimate someone like him.

Bakugo's patience deteriorates as he comes flying towards me, his athletic legs bringing him closer to me with little time to process his movements. He leads his attack with a right hook. Seeing this obvious movement, I gracefully turn on my non-dominant heel and deliver a devastating round-house kick to his side with my other foot.

He is pushed off balance and surprise flashes in his eyes. I keep my cool as he regains his composure, running at me for a second time. This time he does a feint and flips over my body in an attempt to get behind me. Predicting his plan I crouch down while he is airborne, twisting to face him I sweep his feet out from underneath him as he lands. Bakugo falls on his back - I move in for a punch having the high ground. He rolls away and stands up.

This time I sprint towards him, my speed and agility catching him slightly off guard. I grab his arm and use my momentum to spin around him. I wrap my right arm around his neck and press my shin into his knees, buckling them under the force. Bakugo drops to his knees, but manages to effortlessly flip me over his shoulder and throw me a few feet away.

Rolling to dissipate the impact of the ground I stand just in time to challenge a series of forceful close combat moves.

There is so much power in his attacks! Not a lot of thoughts though, this guy is pure emotion. Maybe I can win if I exploit that.

I bring up my hand and beckon him towards me in a classic taunt. I smirk at him and wink. Seeing this Bakugo's eyebrows go into a full 90 degrees of fury. He yells out as he runs towards me once again.

Yup that got him...

We continue this for quite some time, both of us not wanting to surrender to the other. In the heat of battle I have completely forgotten the world around us focusing all my attention into those captivating crimson eyes. I wipe away the sweat from my forehead as we stare each other down before another charge.

I am ready for the right hook this time and at the last possible moment I grab his arm using his momentum to flip him over my shoulder.

Gottcha Bitch!

Bakugo's breath is knocked out of him by the impact and for a sliver of time he is utterly stunned. Using this to my advantage I pounce on top of him. My legs straddling his hips. I bent in to trap his neck underneath my forearm with the same move I was able to pin Shoto with a few days ago.

Bakugo surprises me by wrapping his arms around my body, encasing me in a crushing hug. With me completely trapped against his chest, he rolls us over positioning his legs on either side of my waist. His rough hands encircle my wrists and pin them in the dirt above my head. The area of my wrists where his hands resonate with the same sensation I felt the day of the entrance exam.

I struggle against his grasp, unable to move. I am a panting sweaty mess, but he is not much better. Sweat glistens on Bakugo's skin showcasing his cut athletic arms, and sharp jaw-line. The smell of caramel enchants my senses once again as his face draws in closer to mine. I can't look away from his crimson eyes, which are alight with excitement. Having finally captured his prey, Bakugo looks down at me with a cocky smile plastered on his lips.

How can someone look this good?

"Looks like I win, huh?" Bakugo pants, his hands tightening over my wrists.

My heart is racing and my face is on fire. A delightful shiver runs down my spine and my core tightens with anticipation. My entire body is betraying my mind which had previously determined Bakugo's behavior at the entrance exam as detestable.

Bakugo draws in closer. I am stunned. I can't move.

I don't want to move.

His face is mere inches from mine, his breath lightly dusting my face. My eyes instinctively flutter close as my brain shuts down and I give into these unexplored desires.

UH! WHERE THE HELL MY PHONE? WHERE THE HELL MY PHONE? WHERE THE HELL MY- WHERE THE HELL MY PHONE? HUH? HOW I'M 'POST TO GET HOME?

My phone's ringtone blares from a foot away. My eyes snap open and Bakugo sits up quickly, releases my wrists, and springs off of me. Still too shocked to move - I lay there in the meadow collecting my shattered brain and piecing together my exploded heart.

...what just happened...

I sit up and look around for my phone. I grab it and see that it's well past 4pm and Shoto is calling me.

Not good.

Feeling a slight pang of guilt I reject the call for now, tossing the phone aside and looking around. Bakugo stands motionless facing away from me.

"Look- I ugh, I'm not sure what that ---" I begin still feeling flustered.

"Shut up. It was nothing." He snaps, still refusing to look at me.

I stiffen as an aching pain pierces through my chest. I clench my fists.

Of course it was nothing....How could I let myself get so caught up in him? I feel so stupid.

"Since I won-." Bakugo continues his voice not betraying his thoughts.

"R-right! I'll leave you to it then. I won't come back." I deadpan, bringing my emotional walls back up.

I can't believe I thought this would turn out any different.

"Tch." Bakugo huffs, throwing his hands in his pockets and stalking off in the opposite direction.

Feeling confused and dejected I turn around. I let out the breath I had been holding in.

"Oi." He calls out to me. I turn slightly to look back at Bakugo, raising a quizzical eyebrow.

"What is your name?" He asks his crimson eyes burning in the fiery tones of the sunset.

"L/N Y/N" I reply.

Not that you care.

"Bakugo Katsuki. Don't forget it." He says giving me one last hard look before turning once again and leaving the field.
