This is a first hand account of events that happened as i remember them. Names have not been changed to protect the innocent.

"Oh man, did anyone get the license plate of that truck?" I mumbled to no one in particular when i hazily started to come to. As i opened my eyes, the sky was spinning and swaying as if on some sort of large turntable that threatened to throw itself off it's axis. I just lay still for a few minutes and tried to regain my bearings. After what seemed like an eternity i managed to drag myself off of the ground and sit up. Every part of my body screamed and howled with aches and pains, begging for a soft bed or warm bath to ease their agony. I felt as if i wanted to puke but held my composure as best i could.

Once i was sure i could hold the building pain at bay, i started to look around and take in my surroundings. I was sitting in the middle of a large, open meadow. Tall grasses ebbed and flowed with the gentle breeze like the soft waves of an impossibly green ocean. The world was vibrant and vivid, almost too much so. It felt like i was in an impressionist painting, as if Van Gogh had painted it into reality. The sky was of an etherial cyan with clouds that were whiter and brighter than the softest of snow drifts. I was in fantastic wonderment and terrible dread at the same time as my mind tried to process the stimuli that lay in front of my eyes.

After getting over the initial shock of my surroundings, i looked down at myself. My clothes were of the same overly vivid color scheme as the rest of the world. I wiggled my fingers and stretched out my arms, making sure everything was working the way it was supposed to. I shifted my legs in the soft grass and similarly wiggled my toes inside my shoes. "Well, everything seems to be ok." i said to myself as i started the painful process of getting to my feet. Once i was firmly standing i stretched and took a better look around. The sea of green rose just above my ankles and here and there bunches of flowers popped up out of the waves like fountain jets of vibrant color. I could see what looked like a dirt road in the distance and made a bee line for it. My mind was still searching to make sense of everything as i walked.

Once i reached the road there was a small wooden sign in the shape of an arrow with the word Ponyville in bright pink, cheerful letters. "Strange name for a city." I said, again, to no one in particular. "Ah well, nowhere else to go i suppose." i told myself as i eased on down the road. I kept up a good, swift walking pace as i headed for Ponyville. As i walked i saw a few strange critters and insects moving around in the field before the town started to come into view and more and more trees started to appear around me giving a nice shady respite from the overhead sun.

"Ahm, gonna get him just wait." i heard a young female voice say, with a southern draw. It was as if she was trying to whisper but failing miserably. It was coming from a clearing off to my right so i changed direction and followed the voice. What i saw once the source came into view made my mind shrivel up and die on the spot as it tried to process what I was seeing. There were three small ponies wearing army helmets and camouflage face paint stalking a strange looking large bird. One was yellow with a red mane and tail. Another was pure white with a mane made up of varying shades of purple. The last was an orange, amber color with a bright pink mane. They were all about the size of a large labrador or Collie and holding nets in their mouths except the white one, hers was levitating somehow. They were trying their best to be stealthy. I was still processing so i decided best not to interrupt yet. I just watched on with disbelief.

"Applebloom, keep your voice down, gosh!" the white one chastised the yellow one in a similarly not quite whispered voice.

"Both of you shut it." The orange one said as she closed in on the seemingly unaware bird. "Now!" the three little ponies shouted in unison as they pounced on the large bird. The animal looked behind itself to see the girls jumping toward him. It seemed to roll it's eyes before easily stepping aside to dodge their attack and cawed at them like a crow before taking flight and leaving them sprawled out in the dust. The girls had landed in a pile and were struggling to get themselves separated and back on their feet.
