"How are you feeling?"
I slowly tried to open my eyes but they keep shutting back. So I just kept them close and relaxed.
"It's okay, just rest for now."
Then I heard footsteps out the door.
*Time skip*
After a long time, I was finally able to open my eyes. I looked around the room, all white, white curtains that are preventing the sunlight from coming in, beeping sound repeatedly ringing near my right ear.
Just then, my thoughts got interrupted by the door being knocked and it cracked open. I looked up and saw an unfamiliar figure.
"Hi." I just nodded. "I'm Park Taewon. And I suppose you are.."
"I'm Rahuna," I replied.
"Yeah, that's what I saw in the wallet you had with you," he said looking at me.
What!! What is he talking about? I don't even remember any events of my life. But where did he find me? How did I end up here? Who brought me to this hospital? What happened to me?
My thoughts got cut off by Mr. Park.
"If you are wondering how you ended up here. You ran into an accident in front of my car and I brought you to this hospital as you were bleeding very badly due to the force. And the do.." he was cut off by the door being opened again revealing an uniformed elderly man, whom I suppose is the doctor.
"I'm Mr. Bae, your doctor. I know you don't remember me because you have been through amnesia," the uniformed man introduced.
What!!!
"B-but I don't even know anyone here," I protested.
"That's because you had been through amnesia an.." Mr. Bae was cut off in the middle of his sentence.
"..... and I decided to take care of you for the rest of your life. If that's fine with you," Mr. Park said with a warming smile.
I clearly don't know what to say or do. This has gotten me taken a back. Should I trust him with my life? Or is he gonna treat me right? Or is my life gonna be in danger if I go with him? But I don't have a choice. I don't know anything about myself except for my name 'Kim Rahuna'. I sighed and nodded.
"When is she gonna be released?" Mr. Park asked the doctor. "Once we get all her reports checked," the doctor ensured him.
The doctor then left the room leaving Park Taewon with me.
I looked at him, "Just call me dad. I'll take you home where I have my wife. As we don't have any children of our own. Would you like.... to be our child?" he offered with a genuine smile.
I felt weird. Should I trust him? I have to, no I must! I know no one here. And he seems to be a trustworthy person.
"I w-will," I said giving him a weak smile. He walked up to me and gulfed me with warm hug.
"You're 'Park Rahuna' from now on," he declared.
*Taewon's POV*
I reached home and called out for my wife, Mona. She walked into the living room with her as usual sweet smile on.
"Now we can have a child that we can actually raise," I said with a wide grin.
"What!! Really!! Who?" she sounded really excited. I told her everything about Rahuna.
She smiled, "Can I meet her at the hospital?" she asked. I nodded giving her a tight hug.
"Don't we have an extra room here?" I asked as she still smiled and nodded as we walked to the room. It had nothing, so I decided to order furnitures and (random stuffs which your author is too lazy to explain😅😅)
"Well... when will she move in?" she asked.
"Possibly tomorrow if she gets released," I reassured her.
*The Next Day*
*Rahuna's POV*
The morning light hit my face as I slowly opened my eyes to be only welcomed by a lady probably in her 30s smiling as she looked at me. I slowly sat myself up and studied her features. Her dark eyes, small nose and slightly pumped up lips that is curved with a smile.
"May I know who you are?" I asked out of the blue. She looked at me still smiling.
"I'm Park Mona, Taewon's wife," she smiled.
I nodded and tried to stand up on my feet but landed my ass back on the hospital bed. I heard footsteps walking towards the bed as Mona held out her hand so I could hold it. And I did. I got up with her supporting me.
She walked me to the bathroom which was my destination. I did my business and got out, she was still waiting for me patiently to get out. as she heard me getting out, she held out her hand and helped me back to the bed. I looked at her into those dark round eyes, beautiful yet attractive.
"I suppose you are Rahuna," I simply nodded. She sat down on the edge of the bed and looked at me.
"Welcome to my family, Rahuna. From today, this is your home and place where you can get comforted at your hard times. We'll always be there with you, walking with you through this," she smiled.
Is she an angle? Why does her words touch my heart like that? This is something I never felt before. Without me knowing I reluctantly hugged her tightly.
"Thanks mom," she patted my back with a smile and hugged me back.
