During 1607 King Hoseok of Gwanju the undefeated warrior is married to Queen Ri Dae but what happens after he falls in love with a court dancer Junghwa.
The maids of the palace came running in the court"your majesty the Prince has arrived " the queen stood up with joy waiting to see her son after 14 years " oh my, please comfort me, my Hoseok is here " she said with joy .
The subjects of the kingdom showered flowers on the prince at his arrival the gates of the palace opened up ,drums were being played at honor of the horse seated prince. The court was filled with maids at the side showering beads of pearls on the prince. "Welcome Prince Jung Ho Seok " said the minister " thank you " Said the prince " The queen is waiting for you in the room " Hoseok knocked on the door, the maids opened the door the queen sat on the bed closing her eyes "Mother I'm here " the queen opened her eyes filled with tears immediately embraced the prince " Hoseok , My son, I missed you so much you've grown so much " .
"I missed you too Mother" he broke the hug "I hope you practiced everything well", "yes Mother". " then let's not waste time and celebrate your crowning ceremony " Hoseok nodded in agreement " let's arrange it tomorrow you should rest now " " yes Mother " hoseok went to his room the bath tub was filled with roses for him. He showered and got ready in his attire.
He stepped in the court receiving greetings from the ministers he sat beside the queen. The queen started talking to the ministers " All we all know that the Prince has arrived we shall be conducting the crowning ceremony tomorrow " all the ministers gasped " but your majesty the Prince has just arrived isn't it too early to crown him the king " said one of the ministers " Gwanju needs a king to look after the welfare I'm sure the prince is now capable enough to rule the kingdom after 14 years of training " the ministers went quiet at the agreement.
Hoseok and the queen were dining at the hall when suddenly the queen suggested " Hoseok " "yes " he responded " as you know you're going to be the next king of Gwanju I was thinking why don't we get a queen for you ?" Hoseok choked on his food "but Mother I'm still not the king yet isn't it too early? " to be honest Hoseok did not want to get married yet ,"look son I don't know much time do I have anymore but before I die I want to see you getting married " Hoseok simply couldn't disagree with his mother he sighed " as you wish Mother ".
The Next Day
The invitations were sent to the important subjects of the kingdom. Hoseok was getting ready in his room dressed up in the kings attire he smiled at himself .
He entered the court full of ministers, people and important people from other kingdoms. The drums and Trumpets started playing. The minister started chanting " The Mighty son of king is here. The new Ruler of Gwanju let's start the ceremony. " Hoseok bravely marched towards the throne facing his subjects he promised " I Jung Ho Seok the Son of King Jung Hyun Joong and Queen of Gwanju takes an oath to always take care of my subjects and the welfare of My Kingdom in the name of Gods even if it costs me my life " the Queen crowned Hoseok with all the people chanting "Long Live The King". ~~~~~
The crowning ceremony was over Hoseok was in his room checking himself out in the Crown suddenly there was a knock on the door "come in " a maid came in " Your majesty the Queen is here to meet you " the queen entered his room closing the door behind. " Hoseok, Yesterday i told all the ministers to search for a Bride for you they all choosed brides for you from different kingdoms But I have selected the One for you ". Hoseok was nervous as well as curious " who is it Mother? The Queen smiled "Princess Yoon Ri Dae daughter of king yoon Jinhyeung of the Baekje kingdom" Trained as a warrior, beautiful ,kind and Smart. " She showed him a painting of Ri Dae.

Hoseok was not much impressed by her even though he agreed she was beautiful he asked " is she trained as a warrior? "yes Son " the queen answed "if she is your pick then I have no doubts ". The queen hugged Hoseok happily she broke the hug " so I shall ask for her hand to King Jinhyeung " Hoseok nodded the queen happily exited his room he looked away smiling thinking about how long it's been since he saw his mother being so happy.
Baekje Kingdom.
A minister sent by the Queen was standing in King Jinhyeung's court "Your majesty the Queen of Gwanju has asked for your daughters hand in marriage for her son the King Jung Hyun Joong of Gwanju Jung Hoseok the son of Late king Jung Hyun Joong . " The king responded" we are honoured to be chosen but I shall like to see the Groom. The minister said " He is brave, Mighty, wise ,kind, a warrior who never lost any battle here this is him." The king looked at his painting sharply before asking " I shall like to ask My daughter about it " the minister bowed "as you wish your majesty I shall take leave please let us know your decision day after tomorrow". The minister left the court.

" Princess Ridae the king is looking for you " the maid came running panting heavily, "oh God I completely forgot about Father " Ridae rushed towards the palace with her horse, getting down running towards her father's room knocking before entering "yes Father? " the king looked at her angrily " Princess how many times do I have to tell you not to go out for such a long time?" His voice stern "I'm sorry Father I promise It won't happen again" she said smiling sheepishly "I have picked a groom for you " before he could finish "what??? but father-" " no buts I want you to get married as soon as possible this is the king of Gwanju Jung Ho Seok the queen has asked for your hand in marriage" he passed her the painting, Ridae uninterested turned at the painting completely stuck looking at it She felt something she never felt before .
