I throw on a pair of distressed dark wash skinny jeans, a white v-neck, a grey hoodie, and my converse.

I decided to put my hair in a messy bun because it was drizzling out and what's the point of having good looking hair when it's going to get messed up anyways?

I walk out the door of my room as I quickly sprayed on my perfume, pink sugar; my personal favorite.

I started to the door of our grey Lexus, but then I remember I left my earbuds inside. I cannot go anywhere without my earbuds. Honestly, I don't know where I would be without music.

Once I got my earbuds, I run back to the car and open the door.

"Well finally. It's about damn time." says mom while glaring at me

"I honestly thought I would be dead before you finished getting ready" said mom sarcastically while laughing.

"Do you see me laughing? That's not funny." I said while taking a deep breath.

I've started taking things too seriously since dad died, especially talking about death.

"You need to loosen up for once" Ben blurted out from the back seat.

"Death is a serious thing that should not be joked about." I said while putting my earbuds in.

Ben started rambling on about something, but I turned up my music.

I bobbed my head to the beat of Love Robbery by Kalin and Myles, thats my favorite song.

My grandma doesn't live in such a nice neighborhood... She lives in the middle of nowhere do it isn't really a neighborhood, but it looks like a place out of a horror movie or something. Thinking of this really spiked my heartbeat, I get scared pretty easily.

We pulled up to my grandmas house and we all just sat there for a minute.

"Good luck" said Ben while grinning. I glared at him through the rear view mirror as I got out of the car.

I paused as I reached for the doorbell. I took a deep breath and pressed it.

I could hear faint rumbling that seemed to grow louder.

"I guess she is coming down the stairs or something..." I told myself as I tried to calm down.

Waiting there at the door made me anxious to see what my grandma looks like, I have never seen her before.

I heard the sounds of locks opening.

"Who's there?!" yelled a voice

"Um your grand Daughter, Micah?" I replied slowly, not knowing if this was my grandmother.

The door opened slowly as a pale, wrinkled face appeared in the small gap separating the door from the outside wall.

"Welcome Dear" the old lady replied.

"Come on in" she said while motioning her hand to the inside of the house.

My nose immediately was filled with an unknown smell, it smelled good and bad at the same time.

"Are you hungry sweety? I have some stew I have been cooking." she said.

"Um what type of stew?" I asked trying to sound polite.

"Come see!" she replied excitedly.

I followed her to a big silver pot. She opened it and I looked inside.

"Look good?" she asked sweetly.

"Looks great!" I said while gagging.

"But um but I just ate before I got here.." I said trying to sound sweet.

"Oh we'll let me show you around" she said after closing the door.
