Requested by QalNiaNiesyaMeng. Hope you like it. Quick note, I am going to refer to the Heathers by their surnames unless there is only one of them in a scene for simplicity.
As the lunch bell rings, you make your way towards the cafeteria and your table. You make it their first with your lunch, swiftly followed by your friends, the Heathers and Veronica. You notice that Chandler is sitting as far away from you as possible, next to Veronica, which is unlike her, and a little disappointing to you. She usually never sits with her unless she has to. You've been noticing that she has been acting funny for a while, and MacNamara and Duke have also mentioned it to you. She keeps glancing up at you and staring at you when she thinks you can't see her. You're not sure what's up, but you've been trying to ignore it for a while.
Lunch ends almost as quickly as it begins, with you having to stop mid conversation. You and your friends quickly sneak out of school. None of you want to go to gym class, so you just decide to leave, and Chandler offers you all a lift home. You laugh and chat, and sing random pop songs at the top of your voices, probably annoying everyone you pass on the road, but not caring. You stop off at everyone's houses, until it is just you and Chandler left.
"(Y/N), would you come back to my place? I need some help studying for the English test next week," she asks, sounding a little nervous.
"Sure thing, Heather," you reply. You're a little confused as to why she is so nervous, but you want to help out your friend. She quickly drives to her house and parks up, all done in an awkward silence.———
"Thanks for the help, (Y/N)," Heather says.
"No problem," you reply.
"I asked you here for two reasons. I thought you'd like to know the other one," she says.
"I would," you say tentatively. She moves closer to you.
"I like you. I really like you, (Y/N). I've had a crush on you for a year, I just didn't know how to tell you," she says. She inches closer to you, and leans in for a kiss. You pull back, not sure what to think. She stops when she sees you move away from her.
"I guess you don't feel the same way," she says, sounding disappointed.
"I don't know how I feel," you say in all sincerity, "just give me a minute."
You quickly step outside her room, leaving her inside. You're not sure if you like her. You always thought she was gorgeous, and you always liked her more than anyone else. You'd rather spend time with her than anyone else, and you always turn to her first whenever you need anyone. But you never knew if you liked her or not. You stand outside, thinking for a while, before opening the door, ready to give her a proper answer."Do you think we'll still be friends after all this?" she asks, looking a little upset.
"Do you think we can pretend I didn't pull away when you tried to kiss me?"
Her eyes light up a little.
"You do like me?"
"Just kiss me."
You and Heather meet in the middle of the room. She wraps her arms around your neck and kisses you passionately. You wrap your arms around her waist and hold her close to you. Eventually, she pulls away and presses her forehead against yours.
"Did you know you liked me?" she asks.
"Not until you told me, but I suppose it's been there for a while."
"So, we're the school's new power couple now."
"I'm into that."
You lean in and kiss her again. You didn't know how much you wanted this to happen, until it happened, and now you couldn't be happier.
