In Your Eyes (Kakashi x OC Love Story)

Chapter 1

1 ~

Obito Uchiha was loud, that much Kakashi Hatake knew. It's not that Kakashi hated Obito, it's just that Obito was less than a shinobi in his eyes. There were rules, there were codes that were to be followed by shinobi and Obito ignored and threw almost all of them out the window. Another mission done and in the books for Team Minato and with the team nearing the gates of Konoha, Kakashi couldn't help the twitch to get home as soon as he could to get away from his loud teammate.

"When we get back to the village, can we go to Yakiniku Q to celebrate us kicking ass this mission? It's been forever since we all got food together!" Obito exclaimed as he crossed his arms behind his head.

Minato Namikaze smiled, "That sounds like a great idea Obito! I'll even pay this time," Minato glanced at Kakashi's uninterested face, "and everyone has to go. No exceptions."

Kakashi groaned, why couldn't he just go home like he had planned?

"Yattaaaaa! Kikyo-chan?!" Obito yelled out before sprinting forward.

Up ahead standing by the village gates was a girl about their age. She wore black leggings with knee high shinobi sandals and what seemed to be a cropped, light blue kimono. A weapons pouch was secured to her right thigh and her black hair was tied into a long braid. As Obito neared the girl, she lifted her arms for a hug and he lifted her up, spinning her around. Team Minato came to a stop in front of the two and waited for Obito to put her down.

"Ah, Obito, who is this lovely young woman?" Minato asked.

The girl blushed slightly and tugged at one of her sleeves, a nervous tick?

Obito put her down and turned towards his team, "Everyone, this is Kikyo Ito. She lives at the shrine near the Uchiha compound and helps with ceremonies and stuff and helps me with my katas when I'm in the village. Kikyo-chan! This is my team, Minato-sensei, Baka-shi and Rin-chan!"

Kikyo smiled and nodded at everyone, "Hello, it's a pleasure to finally meet you all! Obito has told me so much about you."

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Kikyo." Minato said with a smile.

"We were just about to go to Yakiniku Q for a celebratory meal, you should join us Kikyo-chan! Is it okay if she tags along Minato-sensei?" Obito asks.

"Ano.. Obito, it's okay! I don't want to intrude, I just wanted to welcome you home and let you know that your Oba-san wanted you to go grocery shopping before you went home." Kikyo stuttered out as she waved her hands in front of her.

"Nonsense! A friend of Obito-kun is a friend of ours, right Minato-sensei?" Rin says.

Minato nods, "Of course. You should join us, it would be nice to know the young woman who has been kind enough to help Obito improve on his katas."

"Kami knows he needs it..." Kakashi mumbed.

"What was that?!" Obito got in Kakashi's face but Kikyo grabbed Obito's arm and tugged him back.

"What have I told you about fighting?"

"To not fight in the shrine and we're not in the shrine!"

Kikyo just rolls her eyes and huffs quietly to herself. Minato instructs the group of teens to follow him and they all make their way further into the village to their final destination. Obito and Rin are quietly conversing and Rin tries to get Kakashi involved in the conversation but with little to no luck. Minato stays towards the back of the group with Kikyo, both comfortably silent in each others company. Kikyo had heard many things about Minato Namikaze from her eccentric friend as well as wandering gossip in the village. She felt happy to finally meet him.
