'"Give me the AUX cord!" Jacob demanded.

"NO! We are listening to the FUCKING Wii Theme," Violet screeched back.

"STOP SCREAMING," Joon screamed at the two.

It was only the first hour into the trip and it was already chaos. Jacob and Violet kept cursing at each other, Ethan was trying to make himself as small as he could, July was napping, Joon was trying to make peace, and Palak was driving while listening to all of their shit.

Jacob rolled his eyes at Violet and hmphed, crossing his arms. He quickly glanced at July sleeping, her mouth slightly gaping, her face tilted. She looked adorable. He pulled her head onto his shoulder and then laid his head on top.

He was about to drift off to sleep himself when he caught Joon looking at them. Honestly, Jacob didn't know what made him so popular. Sure, Joon was good looking ("hot" to the girls) but there wasn't much else.

Joon was that popular kid. He was Korean, always having a group of people crowding around him, but he was never cocky. He played on the basketball team, and whenever anyone came to his house, he wanted to workout. He was 6'2", and had muscular arms and a 6-pack. He was caring, he never wanted to hurt anyone. He wouldn't drop people unless they dropped him. His style consisted of hoodies and sweatpants, but somehow it was different on him. He had full lips, and always smelled nice. His hair was soft enough, and stylish, even in his mullet phase. No wonder girls were all over him. But for some reason, he never went for them. He always talked about "finding the one" or something. Everyone felt bad for him. Jacob honestly thought he was a closet simp because he was so nice.

Jacob was lean and better looking (in his opinion) with big brown Chinese eyes circled with cute round glasses and a chiseled jaw. He was one of the tallest guys too, at 5'11". His dark hair was purposely messed up and his ears were studded with black diamonds and a dangling cross on one of them. He pulled off the bad boy plus soft vibe rather well, Jacob thought to himself. And to add a final flourish, he had been born and raised in England before moving to Sacramento, resulting in a "sexy" British accent. He was known as a"player" but he only loved one girl; July. Of course, no one knew, but it was pretty obvious. Jacob hung out with Joon's crowd and played basketball too. However, he drifted around crowds and got along with everyone.

Ethan was decent, too, but was too awkward and shy. At school, he always hung near the library when he wasn't in class or with Jacob and Joon. He was always a soft boy, and wasn't as athletic as the other two. He was also bisexual (obviously a bottom) but after being bullied about it, he keeps it private to outsiders. After being saved from bullying by Violet, he practically worshipped her. He was an otaku just like Violet, so often they talked anime together (if Ethan managed to not choke up or turn into a tomato.) He also had a major obsession with Totoro. He wore shapeless sweaters and hoodies, but Jacob knew he actually had slight abs on that skinny frail body. He was part Vietnamese part Korean, and took his dad's vietnamese last name and his mom's good looks. This made his face look slightly feminine. Ethan had smooth black hair that wasn't too long, nor too short. To top all of that off, his height was on the shorter end of the three guys with a whopping 5'8".

After the "small" fight between what song to play, Palak finally picked the song, "Sunday Best" by Surfaces, and everyone was comfortable. Except for the fact that Joon, Jacob, and Violet were yelling their lungs out until July woke up and screamed at them, threatening to beat their asses. After a small lecture, the six were all laughing and having fun singing (correctly this time) to the next songs on the playlist. Even Ethan joined in, although much softer.

Eventually, the mini-concert ended since everyone's throats were sore, so the group switched to card games and Heads Up! on July's phone. It may or may not have gotten out of hand...

"Plus four bitch," Joon said cockily.

"No you," replied Jacob, placing down a blue reverse card. Violet tried to hold in her laugh but couldn't and burst out laughing.

"That's not how it works, dumbass!" July said as she nudged his side, a small smile on her face.

Jacob nudged her back, laughing and said, "I have no idea what you're talking about. Nothing stops the reverse card."

No one really paid attention and started goofing off until Ethan won the game of UNO. Jacob and July looked confused, and then started play-fighting with each other, accusing the other of distraction. Really, it looked like flirting. Joon watched the whole ordeal happen and wasn't happy at all with what it looked like was happening between his friend and his sister. They were a little too close in his opinion.

To clear his mind, he turned back to face the front to talk to Palak, the only sane one, trying not to be too distracting so she could focus on the road.

"Hey, thanks for driving for us, it must be hard with all this background noise. I'll drive after we make our next stop, okay?"

For a second, he thought he saw her blush, so he whispered in her ear, "You're cute when you're blushing." She then blushed harder, causing Joon to laugh.

Ethan and Violet were already sucked in a conversation about one of the animes they watched. Ethan saw Violet smiling which made him smile more, looking like a little ball of sunshine, hugging his favorite Totoro plushie. To be honest, Violet thought he looked adorable, but she didn't think much of it. Ethan suddenly reminded Violet how much of a small puppy he looked like, talking enthusiastically with his big puppy eyes sparkling, so Violet just reached her hand out and patted his head while he was in the middle of talking. He stopped talking and his face flushed a deep tint of red.

"U-uh, V-Violet?" He said, becoming a stuttering mess. "What are you doing?"

Violet snapped out of her gaze and took back her hand, playing it off coolly.

"Sorry. You just looked like a little pomeranian," Violet answered nonchalantly.

"Looks like there's some chemistry right there, right, Palak? Let's let them sit next to each other next, you sit in the front with me," said Joon. Almost everyone's expressions turned sly, winking, wiggling their eyebrows, and nudging Ethan and Violet. (Well, only Palak tried, and then Violet threatened her with a death wish.)

"Sure, I don't see why not," said Palak with a knowing smile.
