Chapter 3
Fang saw max falling. He knew something was wrong. Fang shot down to save max.
"Iggy!" fang yelled. Iggy zoomed up and was flying in tandem with fang. "About 20 feet, straight down is max, falling." Iggy nodded, and the two shot down, wings working like heck. Max should have said something was up. Fang thought to himself. Fang and Iggy caught up with max and they grabbed each of max's arms. Slowing down, fang looked up to see the younger ones right with them the whole time.
"Fang? What's wrong with max?" angel asked.
"You three get back to the house." Fang said. Nudge, Gazzy and angel nodded, then took off in the direction of the house. Fang saw that Gazzy still had max's shoe. Fang shrugged and turned to Iggy. "Let's get max to the house." Iggy nodded, and they flew off. Fang could feel Max's dead weight as he and Iggy carried her to the house. I hope she isn't... no, I won't think of that. Max isn't dying. She can't die. Fang thought, and then he started trying to think positive, in case angel was listening. Which he hoped she wasn't.

Nudge was flying to the house as fast as she could. Since she was the oldest of the three, she was momentarily in charge. Nudge saw angel and Gazzy in her peripheral vision. They looked as worried as she was. Nudge tried to keep her own worry and fear bottled up, at least until they got to the house. Nudge wiped tears from her eyes and scanned for the house. She saw it and nudge tilted one of her wings slightly to head for it.
"Ok, let's pour on the speed." Nudge said to her miniflock. Angel and Gazzy nodded, so nudge worked her wings to go faster. The house came closer, so nudge slowed down, and then dove for the house. A quick look behind her showed angel and Gazzy doing the same. Nudge braked before they crashed into the front yard, landed, then ran to the front door.
"ok, you guys watch for fang and Iggy, I'll get the med kit." nudge said, and she ran off.
