Why did Carter lie to Lizzy⁉️

Why did Carter lie to Lizzy? Could he have costed them their friendship just for this one lie? Let's find out...

Carter wanted to ask Lizzy out on a date because he thinks she is perfect for him and they have been through a lot together. He was gonna ask her on a date in a few days because he wanted to do something crazy to ask her out but the day before she came to Carters house with a bouquet of flowers.He never want to see her then because he wanted it to be a surprise so he couldn't obviously tell her. So he was freaking out because he thought she was gonna ask him out. He wanted to ask her first because if she asked first his whole surprise would be blown. That's why Ryan when and told Lizzy Carter was not at home.Lizzy saw Carter at home and realized they lied to her. So she got very upset because she had balloons and flowers to ask him out ,it was her surprise and Carter just lied to her. So she just threw the flowers in the trash and ran away because she was also sad. Then they talked by the pool . Lizzy was saying that she came here with such a huge surprise and he just lied to her, she was planning the surprise for so long. Carter couldn't explain why he did it because it would ruin his whole surprise because he couldn't just tell her that he wants her to be his girlfriend. So Carter just bit his tongue and it was hard for him because she was getting more upset, then she started to cry and ran away. Carter started to message and call her because he felt very bad but Lizzy didn't respond to him. After she left he wanted to run behind her and just ask her out  but he couldn't find her anywhere so he opened the trash and saw all the roses in the bin and the balloon on the floor, and it was a heart shaped balloon so she was definitely asking him out, and she had a whole bouquet of roses which is a symbol of love and romance. Lizzy wanted to be romantic Carter was feeling bad so he took the roses out of the bin. Now Carter needs to come up with something very special for Lizzy. He needs to come up with a gameplan to fix everything because he is in the deep hole now he needs to dig himself back to level ground and and hit her with a huge surprise.He needs her to come over and if he has a surprise that is do big and so amazing that it will explain itself then she will understand. Lizzy is still not replying to Carter so he needs a way to make Lizzy come back to the house. Carters should have just left his surprise and said yes but he wanted to give a huge surprise so she will always remember it.
