ShadAmy- Christmas

Everyone gathered by the Christmas tree at Amy's house on Christmas Eve. The friends would exchange gifts today because some of them had families to be with on Christmas day. Amy sat with her legs tucked under herself, Sonic sat on the floor by the tree to hand out gifts, and Sally was next to him. Then Silver and Blaze, Knuckles and Rouge, and Tails and Cream all sat next to each other or with the girl in the guys' lap. Shadow stood off to the side, staring outside to the snow covered scenery.

"Okay," Sonic announced. "First we'll hand out the gifts from Rouge and Knuckles." The blue hedgehog reached for the nearest gift and smiled up at Amy when he saw it was for her.

Amy was elated, she rarely got to open the first gift. She untied the bow and lifted open the box to see a glittering rose pendant. "Rouge! Its beautiful!"

Rouge laughed. "Knuckles was the one who found it, believe it or not!"

"Thank you so much!" Amy exclaimed, reaching behind her to put the clasp on. It took her a few moments, but suddenly someone took them from her.

"Here," Shadow said in a monotone voice.

Amy jumped in her skin, totally caught off guard. She relaxed when she noticed who it was and smiled warmly at him. "Thanks," she murmured.

Shadow shrugged and then moved away after he had got the necklace to clasp right.

The little get together progressed easily, and happily. Everyone was laughing and joking and the presents under the tree were diminishing little by little.

"Oh," Sonic said. "There's one more." He reached underneath and pulled out a medium sized box from the back of the tree. His eyes became big briefly. "It's for Shadow?.. From Amy?"

Amy clapped in excitement. "I knew it was under there!" She looked over to the shocked black and red hedgehog. "I was beginning to think I'd misplaced it!"

"Amy," Sally called. "Shadow doesn't get anything for anyone else. And I thought he doesn't like presents," she told her.

The sakura hedgehog gasped a little and glared at everyone. "I can't believe you! Christmas isn't about getting something in return! Its about telling someone you care about them! Half of you treat Shadow like crap anyway, so why would he get you something?!" She bent over the chair and snatched the gift out of Sonic's hands. "Gimme that."

Shadow stood with his mouth agape. He was totally at a loss. Like Amy had said before, no one treated him all that great. It wasn't necessarily bad, but it wasn't great. His eyes were wide as Amy handed him the gift wrapped in red wrapping paper.

"The presents I get for you go missing every year," she said with a frown. "Its really aggitating, and why I hid it in the back!"

Sonic gave a small huff behind her.

Shadow stared at the present. "Go on," Amy prodded. "Open it."

He seemed to connect back to reality and opened the gift. Let's just say his face was priceless!

Inside was a dragon statue. The dragon was coal black, with his wings spread out and his long body winding up around the barrel of a gun. The dragon twisted around towards the end and blew transparent fire against an oncoming bullet.

"A-.. Amy, this is.." Shadow stuttered.

Amy bit her lip and clasped her hands behind her back shyly. Because her presents for him would always go missing, she wasn't sure how he'd react or what was a good reaction or a bad one.  "Do you like it?" She asked after a long awkward pause.
