"Stop drooling over him, Han"

"But he's so dreamy"

"But he's a j-"

"And irresistable," Emma added.

Just a regular conversation with my two best friends, Hanna and Emma. Austin Shay, school's most popular jockey. Sure, his ocean blue eyes, his messy, ruffled golden brown hair, his masculine body never fails to attract hoards of girls, and even stun guys, who would stand and stare admiring his beauty and glory. He didn't have to speak, he didn't need to flirt, because most girls would willingly throw themselves onto him. Girls would do anything to touch those sweet sunkissed lips of his.

"Okay, he's not that bad, I guess. He's pretty cool," before I could continue, I heard someone scoff behind me, not too surprised to see my rival, Alison, since her locker was right beside mine.

"Look, if you think you stand a chance with Austin, -or even any of the jocks- you should check your head, dear Emery. You're nothing but a little twerp with your two skunks who can't even take down two shots of mexican tequila. Wimps," she sniggered. My face boiled, it was one thing to annoy me but another to make fun of my friends.

"You spiked their drinks, scumbag!" I shouted, cringing at the memory of the party last month where Alison offered us lemonade juice, which turned out to be tequila. Too drunk to barely stand, Emma and Hanna meerly passed out. Luckily, I refused to drink and was wide aware of Alison's decieving plans, I was actually expecting she was going to do something like it. I managed to get Emma and Hanna home safely. Unfortunately, Alison had more to just that. After I had brought Emma and Hanna away from the loud, pounding music of the party, she took the opportunity to hook up with Hanna's boyfriend. It had been a long, painful, heatbreaking month for Hanna.

I simmered at the painful memory, recalling the painful tragic she had to go through. Without hesitation, I grabbed Alison's front shirt by the collar and slammed her against the lockers. Too shock to move, Alison stood still with eyes widened in fear. I took this oppurtunity to take action, raising my fist. Realising what I was doing, she pushed me away and we ended up in a small cat fight, pulling each other's hair. Feeling tired, I loosened my grip on her dirty blonde hair. Losing balance, she fell backwards. I stared at her in bewilderment, before bursting in fits of laughter. Letting my guard down too early, she slid her foot against my legs, causing me to tumble onto the ground.

"Ow, help," it took me a while to register that the familiar voice wasn't coming from me but from Alison. Why would she groan in pain when she just knocked me down?

"Alison Petierse, Emery Fields, to my office. Now!”

Oh, that’s why. She wants to play little miss innocent.

After leaving the Dean’s office, I met up with Hanna and Emma.

“So, how’d it go?”

“Fine,” I grumbled.

“She let you guys off easy?”

“No, we got warnings.”

“So, where’s Petierse?” Hanna asked, looking around for any sights of Alison.

“She faked a bruise so she’s at the nurse but she can’t leave without a guardian.”

Hanna and Emma grabbed my arms and pushed me down the hallway, “Come on, let’s not bother about her. It’s almost the end of the day. How about we go to the mall after shopping?”
