Chapter 4: Clues

Vanessa's pov

"Okay, there are about 600 dollars in my drawer in my room in case of an emergency. We aren't sure when we will be back but we will call you okay." Dad said. I nodded.

"We will call you as soon as we land okay." Mom said. I nodded again. "Okay, no parties, no boys over, no-" "I understand Dad. Okay, I know the rules so no need to explain them to me again." I said, cutting Dad off. "Okay! Okay! Do we have everything? Our tickets? Passports?" Mom asked, walking back and forth around the room.

"We have everything, darling." Dad responded, looking at his watch. "I think we should get going."

Mom huffed "Alright sweetheart, we love you and make sure you are prepared for your test tomorrow." my head bobbed up and down. Mom walked out of the house and got in the car. "Okay, we will call you as soon as we land." Dad said, getting into the car with mom following his actions on the other side.

"Okay, love you! Tell Grandma I love her. Bye!" I yelled to them as they went out of the gate. Dad honked his horn in response.

I sighed and closed the door and went to my room. Now I am all alone. "What do I do now?" I said to myself as I closed my bed room door. I plopped myself down on my bed and sighed.

"Food. I want food." I said. I got my phone off of my bed and dialled Jets Pizza. I ordered a large barbecue chicken pizza, bread sticks, and a medium garden salad with no tomatoes. I absolutely hate tomatoes. To me they were like pears or something and I hate pears too.

While I was waiting for my food, I decided to start getting ready for work.

15 minutes later, I was ready for work and my food had arrived. I paid the man and started eating what was delivered. By the time I was done, it was 5:39 and I had to be at work by 6:00. I got a can of Pepsi from the refrigerator and decided to scroll through Twitter a bit.

After about 6 minutes later, I was getting my keys and putting my jacket on, getting ready to leave when the house phone rung.

I ran over to the phone and picked it up. "Hello, Gonzalez residence." I greeted sweetly. No one answered. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Hellloo? Anyone there?" I said. Still no freaking answer. I was really started to get irritated now. I mean if you didn't want to talk, why call ? Assuming it was some prank, I was going to hang up until I finally heard another voice on the line.

"See you later baby." The man said, I was about to ask who it was but the line went dead. I put the phone on the counter and looked confused.

"What just happened?!"

It was now 9:50 pm and I was just getting home. Usually I would be home by 8:00 pm, but Matt had called and asked me to pick him up since his car decided to die on him when he was on the highway. So I had to pick him up and then I dropped him off at home.

I sighed as I walked to my room, to be greeted by my puppy, Cypher. He was a Pitt mixed with a German Shepherd, and was probably the nicest as well as cutest little puppy ever.

I smiled at him as I went to go take a nice long hot bubble bath but not before taking my clothes off, putting my phone on the charger, and turning on some music.

I get in the bath and let the music fill my ears. I hope my Grandmother is okay, I absolutely love her. I remember when I was little, my parents would take me to Canada every summer to spend time with her. And once we stayed there for a year because Grandpa had died. But that was years ago.

I sighed and closed my eyes and laid back into the bathtub.

After about 20 minutes of being in the tub, I washed up a bit and got out. Once I was dry and everything, I put on matching Panties and Bra, then put lotion all over my body and then landed into my pj's.
