"Soph, Bryce and I are dating." She confessed. I was shocked my jaw was wide open. "Are you mad?" She asked looking a bit concerned.

"No Addison! I'm not mad at all! I'm so happy for you and Bryce. If he hurts you though he'll for sure be getting the silent treatment from me." I said jokingly. "Let's head to practice." We walked out of the bathroom and headed out to the field. As we walked out I saw Bryce throwing a pass to Jaden and of course he caught it because he's never missed a pass before.

"Took you girls long enough." My dad said jokingly to me and Addison. "ALRIGHT BOYS HUDDLE UP!" He yelled at the boys. "I'm Coach Hall and I will be your head football coach this fall. This is my daughter, Sophia and her friend Addison. They will be the team managers. I have a few rules with these girls being our managers. They're not here to be a distraction, they're here to help. If I hear that ANY of you boys say ANYTHING rude or disrespectful to either one of these young ladies, your asses will be running. If any of you like them or are dating them, break it off now. Focus on your careers and focus on girls later. Understand boys?"

"Yes sir." They all said together.

"Alright girls why don't you introduce yourselves." My dad said.

"I'll go first." I whispered to Addison. "Hi I'm Sophia Hall. My brother is Bryce Hall and my dad is of course the head coach but if any of you guys need taped before a game come see me and I'll get you all taped up!"

"Hi I'm Addison Easterling. I'll be keeping your guys's stats this year so if you ever need to know how many passes you caught or threw in a game come and see me!" Addison said cheerfully.

"Alright let's get started." My dad said as they continued practice.

~After Practice~

Bryce finally walked out of the locker room. "Hey skittle what's up?" That's been Bryce's nickname for me since the day I was born. He calls me skittle because that's what he was eating in the emergency room as I was being delivered.

"Nothing. Just tired." I responded walking to the car with my head down. I opened the door and sat in the front seat. Most of the ride home was silent except for the faint rap music playing in the background. "You missed the turn." I said.

"I know." Bryce said. "We're going for a little drive." We stopped on top of a hill in the middle of nowhere watching the sunset. "I would always go here after I had a bad practice or game or bad day at school. It's just a calming place and feels safe. Skittle I'm not stupid I know when you're hurting. What's wrong." He said.

"Jaden. Bryce I really love him. Like a lot but I don't think he feels the same way. Even if he did what would I do about it? Dad said no dating. He probably doesn't even like me anyways." I said.

"Didn't you two have a makeout session in the janitors closet at lunch?" Bryce asked.

"How did you find out?"
