The door rattled and splintered slightly under the pressure as fists pounded on the flimsy wood. Behind that door was her father. Well he was no father to her as it were anyway. She hissed as a gun shot was fired, the bullet broke through the doors wooden frame and buried itself inside the flesh of her calf. Blood began to ooze from the hole and stain her leggings crimson, there  was no other choice. With one last thought with the hopes that she'd survive, the 15 year old flung herself through the thin sheet of glass, supposedly her windows and collapsed in a heap at the bottom of the building. Tiny shards of glass littered her body and the larger ones shattered on the grass but her adrenaline was high, several more gunshots were fired and the wailing of police sirens could be heard in the distance as Aricia took off into the woods.
