[ RAY'S POV ]

'Play the message,' Piper demands leaning over my seat in the helicopter trying to snatch the phone out of my hands. I slap her hands before playing the message once again causing Henry's voice to come rattling through the phone.

'Ray, it's Henry, it's important! The city's fucking insane and I need your help, please bring the mancopter or whatever,' his voice shakes as the messages ends. I nudge Schwoz who's driving, he gets the messages. Let's try and not worry Piper, it doesn't sound the best.

'I've got the location of his phone up, we're nearly there,' Schwoz states as we start to descend. I place my phone down and pull out my zapper.

'So what's the plan?' Piper jumps in, producing a basket bat out from thin air.

'No, no, no you're not coming - '

'Wait, yes I am - '

'No, you're not, you're staying here with - '

'I am not staying here with Schwoz!' Piper screeches back as I begin unbuckling my seat beat.

'Eiyeeeee!' Schwoz cries as he steers his way out of a sign, causing Piper to hit back in her seat, her basketball flying out. 'Schwoz!'

...

According to Henry's location, he should be nearby but there's nothing but a brick wall and a few trash cans. It's pitch black but there don't seem to be anything here.

'Have you found anything? I can come down and help!' Piper's voice rings through my ear, 'Nothing yet.'

I take another look, the tracker says he's around 10 metres ahead, which can't be right. There's a wall, unless... I get out my zapper and start shooting rapidly. The force gives a slight budge with small cracks starting to appear. There should be something. After a while it starts to erraid revealing a dark tunnel, but still not bigger enough to fit through.

...

'Kid?' My voice echoes down it, defiently a secret room. I end up squeezing through the wall walking towards a brightly light room.

'Henry?'

It echoes around again with the same silent response, not reassuring at all.

'Have you found them yet? Piper's getting angry,' Schwoz moans over the ear piece as my gaze falls upon my former side kick.

'No.'

'Okay, just don't be long.' I drop to my knees, unsure what to do, unsure where to even start. Henry lays in front of me sprawled out on the floor, his eyes closed. Crap, he's a sight - blood stains his face as deep bruises frame his neck, but worse of all is the gaping wound seeping blood through his clothes.

Apply pressure, that's the kind of thing you do, right. I scan through the surrounding area to where I spot a torn length of material from a man's jumper. Going back to the body, I try and carefully as I can to wrap the sleeve around his stomach in hope to ease the bleeding. I check his face as he vinces before breathing out brokenly, his eyes squeezed shut. A good sign he's still breathing, I just need to get him out of town.

'Schwoz,' I say louder, my voice not quite as clear as normal, 'We have a problem. We need to go straight to base, okay?'

Holding his head in place, I carefully hoist the limp body into my arms, making sure not to hurt him anymore than he clearly is. With one final look around, I can't help but wonder what the fuck happened here.

Something does catch my eye though: one computor screen which remains on with a timer displaying.

34:49. What the hell is that supposed to mean?
