Seeing the glass half full

These days have been a long, unexpected trial for the human race,

Anywhere and everywhere there is a story to tell, a story to hear.

I can only find comfort in seeing your beautiful face

Smiling down to me, washing away my fear .

In the midst of all the sadness and uncertaity

My beloved, it is you I see.

You bring me joy and hope

To be held in your arms again

And forget the distance between us.

Your smile like a ray of sunlight,

Your chocolaty eyes my delight,

Your warmth my peace,

Your heavenly body makes me weak on the knees.

Tonight when I fall asleep,

It will be you I seek.

Tomorrow when I wake,

Your lips I will take.
