I woke up on the chair with the opened book on my lap, all covered with sweat and shiver.
I looked around my surroundings; all normal. The clock said 12:00 pm.
"Was I dreaming?!" I uttered in a chocked and unsteady voice.
I was all surrounded with the fear of witnessing the same thing once again;
My sister's entrance, disappearance of all her traces and the scene going on and on...and me seeing myself seated on the armchair,...OF COURSE!!I heard the sound; Yes, the same one;
My breath got heavier and heavier than ever...
Nishu entered, and said,"Dumdum, I'm home".
She threw the coat and bag and went inside her room. I had my eyes still on nothing but the sofa, fearing the things would disappear again...I was all set to loose consciousness, if I'd see her vanishing again to nowhere.
12 minutes later...
"Let's have lunch", said Nishu, coming out of her room. I was so Tangled with what I saw some minutes before, that I didn't ever hear what she said.
"Don't you wanna have lunch?" She said, noticing my whitened face."Huh?! A... Yes" I said, SOMEHOW.
"What is it? You look pale" she inquired.
" Did you come here before?" I asked.
*I mean, multiple times* I thought."No. Why?"
"Umm... Nothing!" I said, finally recruiting myself that whatever I saw was just a dream.
She went towards the kitchen to set the table.
I headed to the window to see whether her bicycle was there..."Yesssss!!!" I screamed like a 4 year old child does after getting a new toy.
The bicycle WAS there!!
I felt as if I'm the luckiest person in the world...
I was so happy that it was a dream...JUST A DREAM...
We had our lunch and afterwards, I sat on the bench present in our garden, still thinking about the incident.
"Ahh!... I should complete the story which was half-read by me before that Whatever thing happened." I said, finally satisfied with the day.
(Author's note: please make sure you have read the beginning of the incident clearly)I continued turning the pages to find the one where I stopped at last.
*My readers, I'm sure you might be thinking it really was a dream. So did I... before I realised something which proved me all wrong.*
I turned the last page of the book, thereby closing it, I looked at the living room; With my face whitened and cold chills running all over my skin.
"How do I know the solution of the mystery?!)"
Yes, the story which I half- read before the considered-to-be-dream thing happened.
I couldn't get more puzzled..." Did I read it in my dream?! But how?"
I could feel cold sweat all over my face...
"Or, wa..was it really a dream?"
Now I would ask my readers, if you have any explanation to what I witnessed, because for me,
It's UNINTERPRETABLE...⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫
