It felt like I was in a trance the whole concert. My brother was absolutely amazing. His many guitar solos stole the entire show, or at least for me. I've never been so happy and proud in my life. It was definitely an experience I'd never forget.
After the concert, people lined up to buy tee shirts along with other Verbatim merchandise. I wanted to buy some stuff too, so I began to step in line as well.
"What do you think you're doing?" Rachel asked, grabbing me by the arm.
"I wanted to buy some shirts and stuff."
"You're brother is IN the band. You can get all that stuff for free later. We're Vip remember? We get to go back stage and hang out with the band now! Come on!"
She dragged me to the right of the stage, the same place my brother had taken me to show me his guitar.
There were various people in there, not too many though. The younger girls that were standing next to us during the concert stood out among everyone. They just didn't fit in with the chill vibe across the big room. They obviously felt out of place and nervous, trying to play it off. I remember trying to fit in and be cool like that. Now, I really just couldn't care less. I spent my whole life worrying about what others thought about me, I couldn't handle handle keeping up with the balancing act any longer.
The band, including my brother, were no where to be seen, yet. They were probably just recuperating after the show. I know I needed some major AC. The body heat in that crowd was insane, especially with all of us being so close. You couldn't dance without bumping into the person in front of you and behind, and to the left and right of you. It was pure chaos, but I missed careless and fun events such as these, like parties and such.
Rachel walked over to the snack bar, and shoved a cracker in her mouth, "You hunphry?"
I shook my head, I never was. But she handed me a cracker with cheese on it anyways.
"You better eat it. I paid for your tickets."
I took the cracker and took a bite, right as a few of the band members walked in through the door on the other side of the room. It was the drummer and keyboardist. They had changed clothes, the other clothes were probably sweaty.
Riley scanned the room and found my eyes, giving a small smile and a wave. I waved back, and he began to head over. The keyboardist came in the room as well, and was instantly called over by a group in the corner. Blaise, his name was Blaise. I needed to remember that this time.
"Is he coming over here?" Rachel asked quietly, looking excited.
"I think so."
"How do I look? How's my hair?" She asked.
I laughed, "Beautiful, like always."
"Hey guys. Luna, right? Danny's sister?"
I gave a small smile, "Yeah, that's me. And this is my best friend, Rachel." I said, gesturing to the red head beside me.
He looked to my right and smiled, "Oh yeah! I think I've seen you at some of our shows! I'm Riley."
She let nervous laugh, "I know. I mean, nice to meet you."
He nodded and turned his attention back to me, "So are you two coming to the after party?"
Before either of us could say anything, my brother walked up next to Riley, also in different clothing than before.
