"Juliet!" my mom called from the kitchen as I slowly woke up. I already knew what she was calling me for. I got out of my bed and ran downstairs. "why aren't you dressed?" she asked. I had no clue what she was talking about.

"Why do I need to get dressed? Where are we going?" My mom looked at me. She looked really worried. "Honey your first day of high school is today" I completely forgot about that.

Oh! One thing I should mention; I have short term memory loss. So I forget things easily. My mom tells me it's nothing to worry about. But I know if it was nothing to worry about, she wouldn't look so concerned every time I forgot something.

"Oh..." I responded quietly. I looked over at my backpack sitting by the door. It was light blue with white hearts on it. My mom sighed. I didn't know what she was thinking. But if I had to guess, she was probably thinking about the fact that my memory just gets worse everyday.

She walked over to me and put a hand on my shoulder. I looked up at her and I could just see the concern in her eyes. "Maybe we should go see the doctor again" I said as I hugged her.

"That would be the wise thing to do" Another voice claimed. I looked behind my mom to see my grandma. "Hi Nana" I smiled as I let go of my mom.

"I don't think it's a good idea to take you back to the doctor." My mom said. I looked at her confused. Usually she was all for taking me to the doctor.

"And why the hell not Elizabeth?" my grandma asked her, arms crossed, clearly not that happy by my mom's comment. "Mom. A word?" she asked. I slowly started to back out of the room, assuming they'd want to talk in private.

"Juliet go get ready and come back down in.... 20 minutes" My mom ordered. "Ok mom" I responded as I walked away.

I wonder what they're gonna talk about...
