"Hi, Liam" I said as I pulled up in front of his flat building and he hopped in.
"Thanks for picking me up, Madison." he said and buckled his seat belt.
"That's all well and dandy, but I have no idea where I'm going." I pulled away from the curb, he rattled off some instructions and I pulled on to the highway.
Now your probably wondering, how does she know Liam freaking Payne?! When Liam had gone to X-Factor the second time and made it to go along and end up in One Direction. I had met Liam as a fellow contestant, but I didn't make it past auditions. We had become fast friends, and now here I was driving him to some far flung recording studio. Lately though, I had seen him looking at me funny. The first time I had caught him at it, I had laughed and told him to close his mouth, on the fact that it was "hanging open like a fish". He had shook his head and said he had realized something, I had laughed again, but my heart had sort of ached, and I had felt a strange tingling in the pit of my stomach.
After that I had begun to notice little things about him, the way he tugged at the ends of his hair when it was longer, or after he got it cut he would rub the back of his neck, when he was nervous. The way he could look at me and know exactly what was hurting. I had fallen hard and fast for one of my closest friends.
I broke out of my reverie when Liam pointed to the next exit. I pulled the car to the right, and drove down on to a dirt path.
"Keep going." he instructed
"Liam," I said as we continued to drive farther from civilization and the highway. "I don't think that we're going the right way to your recording studio."
We came to a fork in the road.
"Take the right." was all he said.
We kept driving for 15 more minutes then my car stopped. I checked the gas gauge. "No more gas." I said and opened the car door, hopped out and went to the back to grab my gas can. The sun beat down on me, feeling good after being stuck in a car for so long. I unscrewed the top of the gas can and began pouring it into the gas tank. I felt a strong arm encircle my waist as Liam's head sunk onto my shoulder. My heart began pumping over time and the tingling in stomach got stronger.
"You know there really wasn't any recording studio." he said a chuckle escaping after he spoke, His breath sweeping down my neck and over my jaw. I felt a shiver pass down my spine, I felt a blush begin on my cheeks. I spun around dropping the gas can, his hands now placed on my waist, my hands on his chest.
"So you led me out here for no reason." I said my back now up against the car. His forehead now pressed to mine, my cheeks were on fire.
"No, not for no reason." he whispered his breath on my lips. Then we were kissing, breaths mingling, lips moving against lips, kissing like it was never going to happen again. We broke apart, our foreheads pressed together again.
"I wanted to tell you that I loved you." he said hoarsely, I grinned.
"I love you too Liam" I said my chest felt like it was going to burst with happiness, I must have been grinning like crazy. Liam chuckled softly.
"Madison Alina Grey, will you be my girlfriend." He asked the nervousness showing in his deep brown eyes.
"Yes" He grinned like I had just told him he won the lottery.
He kissed me again softly, there was promise, love, and happiness in that kiss, and I knew that Liam was that missing piece of my soul.
