Leave me to sink to the bottom of the depths of the sea,

I wish to drown in my thoughts until I hit the ocean floor,

Where I'll lay, shipwrecked, the hull of my mind broken to pieces,

I'll take water in salty and cold and let it out in burning drops of equally salty weakness,

Worry not as I sit and decay, becoming one with my new home,

Coral may grow on my skin, fish may hide beneath my bones,

It passes the time when one can't see the sun,

I feel at peace now that what's done is done,

While I lost that brief battle the war has be won,

And maybe some day someone will come along and look in wonder at my frame,

Maybe they will admire my rusty hue,

Or maybe I'll be joined by someone new,

Another lost soul sinking into the depths,

To the dark sandy floor with me in the deep ocean blue.

"Go ahead, be gouged open by love. Gulp that saltwater, sink beneath the waves."

"There are enough ballrooms in you to dance with everyone you'll ever love."

These are two quotes from, On This the 100th Anniversary of the Sinking of the Titanic We Reconsider the Buoyancy of the Human Heart. By Laura Lamb Brown-Lavoie

It has inspired me and soothed the tempest swirling within my soul. Thank you to herald_of_hell for helping me get back in control of steering my ship, even if I don't deserve having such a watchful first mate like you. *Hugs*
