Owen breathed into the fresh forest air. Another month has passed traveling with Raina, and so has his birthday, August 15th. In return for taking her to the Hoenn League and meeting Brendan, Rain went all-out surprising him with a dinner picnic under the starry night sky. It was a great present from her. Owen looked at Raina, who was finished training their Pokemon. Both of their Eevee evolved, giving Owen a Vaporeon, the Bubble Jet Pokemon, and Riana getting the Fresh Snow Pokemon, Glaceon. Owen also caught a Growlithe who evolved into a healthy Arcanine, while Raina caught a Vibrava for herself, who evolved into a powerful Flygon. Owen got up and went to help Raina with lunch.

After lunch, Raina got her guitar out while Owen did the same with his ocarina. They began to play as Raina started to sing,

"Remember when I told you,

No matter where I go,

I'll never leave your side,

You will never be alone.

Even when we go through changes,

Even when we're old,

Remember that I told you,

I'll find my way back home."

Her voice...Owen thought, It sounds so...promising. He continued playing his ocarina to the tempo of Raina's guitar until the end of the song.

After the song was done, Owen walked up to Raina. He looked down to the ground. "Hey, Rain?" The raven-haired girl turned around. "Yeah? What is it, Owen?" Her male companion blushed. "Umm...I l-like..." Raina raised an eyebrow. "Like what?" "I liked your singing!"  He blurted out. Raina smiled. "Thanks." She walked off. Someday I'll tell her, Owen thought. Someday.
