Aubrey's P.O.V
"Finally we're here." I sigh with a breath of relief.
I'm not going to lie, I'm actually scared. I shouldn't be but the rumours and books I've read about high school is definitely a good reason to be. Ariana has been blabbing throughout the ride to school about her stepping into school to make history. I really don't get her priorities.
"Okay we should get going, we're going to be late."
I must have completely spaced out because Ariana started vigorously shaking me back to reality.
"Did you even hear what I said?" Ariana asks as I shake my head.
This girl must already be frustrated with me by the way she's shooting me death glares. Good bye world.
"I really don't get what is up with you. Why are you even scared? Like you said, we're just going to get an education. It's not really something to be scared of."
She really doesn't understand where I'm coming from. I've always been introverted and bright at my studies but not for once has been addressed as a nerd. Back in the days, people usually approached me for their various math problems, but all that stops immediately I walk in there. That lovely reputation crumbles and changes into something else.
"I'm alright, let's get going." I say trying to push that thought to the back of my mind.
"Okay." Ariana says obviously not believing me.
There are a bunch of kids hanging round, talking and laughing. Everything seems harmless. What's to be scared of? It can't be that bad.

"Everywhere seems normal." I say walking on the hallway.
"Isn't it meant to be normal?" Ariana asks confused.
"Not really, according to all the books I've read, the hallway isn't meant to be this peaceful. Where's the drama?, the conflict, the intrigue."
"Uh probably in a movie." Mason says joining us.
Well oh damn.
That's the only thing I could think of staring at Mason. He's wearing something casual but still a little bit formal. It's a white collar shirt covered with a blue v-neck cardigan rolled to his elbow. He paired it with black pants and a pair of black sneakers.
"Uh I think I'm gonna have something intriguing to watch this fine morning." Ariana says gesturing to Cameron who's approaching us.
Just great!
"What's up?" Cameron says to Mason as as they had their "Bro hug."
Cameron's eyes then moves a little in search of something, but finally lands on me. If I thought Mason looked fine earlier, I really don't know what to say about this guy dressed in black standing in front of me. His eyes scans my outfit real fast before quickly darting away.
My outfit was picked by none other than Ariana. She picked out something that I wouldn't have a problem wearing and still looked presentable. I wore a white turtleneck blouse with my black leggings and white sneakers.
"I thought Jack would be here already but he isn't. What happened to him?"
That's definitely a really long story to tell, instead I just say, "He'll be here soon, he had some things to do."
"Yeah he'll probably be here before any general assembly holds." Ariana says backing me up.
"Dude, since you're a senior now and you know everything about how this place works, why don't you show us around. We definitely need a guide and a free one at that." Mason suggests.
Cameron's lips then twitches upwards in a smirk. "Well I mean, I can't leave my little shortcakes wondering about."
You've got to be kidding.
"Your what???" We all chorus.
"C'mon my lovelies. Let me show you around." Cameron says grinning.
You'd really think that someone that good looking will lack a good sense of humor, but it's different with him. We follow closely behind as Cameron starts listing his ideas of cute nicknames for all of us.
"Okay y'all don't like short cake, how about... oh blueberry." Cameron says snapping his fingers.
"No." We all chorus.
"Muffin?"
"Too wattpad." Ariana says scrunching her nose.
"Oh I've got it, Apple pie."
"How about no nicknames." I say pissed off.
"Nicknames are necessary. I see you guys as my younger siblings, I have to at least give you one."
Ouch!
Being friendzoned is horrible but being kept in the brother or sister zone is just ridiculous. No chance of anything ever happening. No freaking chance.
"We should head to our lockers."
"Yeah let's go." I say storming off.
My friends must have noticed my change in mood. He sees me as his younger sibling yet he said I looked hot at the party, Incest. How can one word shatter somebody so bad? I'm done with that guy.
When we reach my locker, Ariana decides to break the ice. "Bree, don't get mad, just forget about it."
"Yeah, it's not worth it being sad." Mason adds.
I feel my face turning bright red as I'm about to breakdown crying. But I refuse to do that. If that's how he sees me, then so be it. After all, Cameron will soon graduate and I never have to see that face again.
"Don't worry guys, I'm fine. I have my life to live and a long way to go. Some silly crush isn't going to stop me." I say trying to reassure them.
"Do you think you're over him?" Mason asks with a concerned tone.
"I should be, just give it a day or two." I say replying as the bell goes off.
"There's a general assembly about to hold in the school's auditorium, I'll show you guys the place." Cameron says walking up to us.
"Alright. I wanted to know if you guys got your schedules and timetables for this semester." Mason questions.
"Yeah we did during summer." Ariana said pulling out hers from her bag.
"Okay, I guess we just need to drop off at I and Ariana's lockers and we're good to go for the assembly."
"Yeah sure, but let's be quick." Cameron says walking ahead of us.
Another chapter done. I'm curious to know who has your favorite character has been so far. Vote and comment if you want to. Enjoy😁
