Emerald's P.O.V
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLS!" Mom and Josh yelled jumping on our beds.
We groaned and I pushed at whoever was on my bed, "Ow!"
"Sorry Josh," I laughed.
"Well get up girls! I made chocolate chip pancakes with eggs and you girls need to get ready for school," Mom explained.
"Our birthday isn't till tomorrow," Ruby groaned, pulling the blanket over her head.
"Yet your friends at school will probably give you presents today," Mom shrugged.
Josh and Mom left the room and I grabbed my clothes and got changed into leggings and a gray crop top while Ruby changed into the bathroom. I braided my hair into two french braids. I did light make up as Ruby walked out in a white crop top and leggings. I slid on my black Nike shoes as Ruby did also. We grabbed our bags and walked out of the room. We sat down at the table and smiled at mom. We ate our pancakes and decided to leave a little bit early. We hugged mom goodbye and Josh walked us to school.
When we arrived at school, I went to my first class, and began stretching. I felt a pair of arms rest on my shoulders. I smiled and looked up to see Jake smiling down at me.
"Happy early birthday!" Jake chuckled as he moved to sit in front of me.
"Thanks Jake," I chuckled.
"You ready for your party tonight?" Jake asked.
"Yeah," I nodded, "Its going to be fun."
"I hope you like my present," Jake smiled, "Of course you won't get it until later tonight."
"Dang," I smirked, "I see how it is."
"My girly is going to be 12!" Ama yelled as she ran up to us and sat down to the side of me.
"Hey Ama," I laughed.
"I cannot believe you are now 12," Ama chuckled, "I have just one month until I'm 12."
"I turn twelve tomorrow," I chuckled.
"Okay and?" Ama laughed.
The bell rang and class began. An hour later class came to an end and I went to the bathroom to change outfits. I changed into an emerald green romper and brown ankle boots. I walked out of the bathroom and smiled at Ama who waited for me and made our way to the theater. We walked into the theater and I walked over to Ruby who was in a maroon romper and brown ankle boots. I smiled at her and she smiled back.
"How was your first class?" I asked Ruby.
"Honestly," Ruby chuckled, "I hate graded discussions."
"Oh, yeah," I chuckled also, "I feel you."
"Welcome everyone!" Jon smiled at us, "Today we will be finishing up Revolting Children and our Matildas will start working on Naughty."
We separated from the main cast and went with Jon into a separate room and started working on Naughty while the choreographer is teaching Revolting Children. We spent a lot of time with the movements and soon had to wrap up what we were doing and head back into the theater. We shared what we had with the cast as they shared what they had. Revolting Children looks like such a fun number to be apart of.
Class ended and sooner than later is was time for lunch. We walked out of the theater and made our way to our favorite classroom to eat lunch. A few presents were on the table with Ruby and I's name on them. I smiled and read who one of them was from and it was from Jesse, who is a 5th grader.
