Run the Stars (temporally

Prologue

Aphelion's roots go back to when the first cats began to build small villages and towns. They lived in harmony under a god and goddess by the names of Sun and Moon. They had their disagreements from time to time but none that resulted in war. Even though they both respected each other in front of their subjects, they secretly hated each other. Sun kept scheming against Moon, swearing to himself that he would one day destroy the she-cat.

Many seasons came and went as they continued ruling. Sun seemed like he never wanted peace though. He challenged Moon to a battle, whoever was victorious ruled, with the loser second in command. Moon agreed and they went into an open field for battle.  The battle lasted for 30 minutes until they reached an impasse. Sun and Moon stood at opposite sides of the field ready for each other's  next attack. They both flared up their powers and casted beams at one another. The beams met and a bright flash of light appeared. They both closed their eyes from the immense light.

Their eyes both fluttered open after the light was gone. They stared in shock at what appeared in front of them. A muscular cat with half of its face black and the other half white.  From that day on they called it, Eclipse. Eclipse was the tie in their arguments and after Eclipse was created everything settled down between the two cats.

The citizens began to worry after not seeing their rulers for months at time. While they enjoyed the peace between the two, they hated not seeing them for a while.  The council members who worked with the rulers knew nothing about their disappearance either.

After the time passed the rulers came out for the first time in months. They had each announced that two new felines had been created, Solar and Lunar.

Many historians speculate that Solar and Lunar are the result from Sun and Moon and that the two cats did not want to admit that they had the two other gods.

A cream colored paw stopped the recording. She typed some notes on a computer and shut the lid. She stared and wondered about the past civilizations and how they came to such a technology based future. She snapped back into reality and looked up at the clock in the recording room. It read two o'clock. She thought for another minute and stood up to leave. She walked through the castle halls silently.  Taking each step carefully and deliberately making sure not to make a sound. She came around the corner of the hallway and into the throne room where a Siamese tom sat waiting patiently on the throne.

"Nebula nice of you to make it to your ceremony on time" the tom announced loudly and boldly.

"I'm ready for my mission King Cepheus" Nebula chirped and waved her tail in excitement.

"Good, I will escort you myself to the Earthen Board" Cepheus meowed before he got up and began walking down the staircase that led to the throne.
