Chapter 2: Test Your Might

As the two were walking out of the hospital, Raichu went on Storm's shoulder. "Hey, look on the bright side, at least we have more things in common right?" Raichu said. Storm smiled. "Yeah. But I'm still wondering why I was given these; the fact that I am not dead on the ground right now is something I still want to know." Storm said. Raichu thought for a moment. "Well my best guess is that luck was on your side and gave you something special." He said. Storm thought for a bit, looking at his hand. He thought about the pain, he felt like he was going the feeling of electrocution ten times in the span of a few seconds. He felt anger. If he ever saw that electric entity again, he would let him know his pain But for now, he had other concerns. He wanted to know what he could do now. For a few days, Raichu and Storm were testing his newfound abilities. Raichu threw multiple targets, which Storm blasted with extremely fast bolts by pointing his finger at them. Storm tried charging a battery, which exploded due to the excess amount of power given. The two just laughed. They then tried lighting up a house instead, it worked perfectly which left them surprised. "No more electricity bills then." Storm said with his hands in his pockets. After a good amount of testing, the two were exhausted. As they were resting on a couch, Storm was unable to dismiss the feeling of dread he was feeling. He was certain that something terrible was soon to come, but what could it be... He decided that it is best to think about it later and went to sleep. Storm dreamt about the electric person. He was in the same situation as before, but instead of being shocked, the person just started to strangle Storm. The adolescent was struggling to remove the person's hands, but to no prevail. Before the person could finish the job, Storm was jolted awake from the sound of a loud explosion coming from outside. When Storm and Raichu went outside to see what was the cause, they saw the electric person looking at the burning remains of a nearby building. Storm clenched his fist. Raichu saw the sudden rage. "He's the one that gave you the powers right?" He asked. Storm nodded, and took a step forward. The electric person looked at Storm, without making a single sound knew what was going to happen. Storm wanted revenge for the pain he felt that night. Storm walked close and stopped when he was able to speak to the electric person. "Why did you do this, you didn't kill me that night which means there was a reason. What was it?" he asked. The electric person exhaled. "Test your luck." It said with an echoing voice. Storm realized the true reason. The electric person viewed him as a toy, but instead of delivering an easy kill wanted Storm to at least have a chance before his fate. The electric person then placed his hand onto the ground, creating a large hole and sending all 3 of them into a cavern. As Storm and Raichu got up, they saw the electric person was creating golems which started running towards the two. Storm and Raichu got into a battle position and began attacking. One golem jumped towards Storm, who grabbed the golem and pushed it towards a wall, causing it to fall apart. Raichu jumped up and started speeding around the cave, confusing a trio of golems. Suddenly, a blur of multiple lightning bolts struck all 3. When all 3 were about to hit the ground, Raichu threw one more bolt which stabbed all 3 of them in their eyes. Storm saw the electric person and was about to strike, but the latter summoned more golems to attack. Storm dodged an attack from one golem and quickly destroyed it. 4 more surrounded him and prepared to crush him. Storm quickly jumped up and threw a large bolt at the pile, causing an explosion to occur. Storm landed and thought it was safe to drop his guard. Suddenly, he was grabbed by another golem that was hidden in the dark. Storm struggled to break free from it's grasp, but it was pointless, he didn't budge. Raichu was still holding on. A golem that was over 10 feet tall tried crushing the pokemon, but was too slow as the electric mouse was running at a top speed to climb to the neck of the golem. Raichu quickly saw there was a small rock that was holding the golem together. He quickly ripped it out, causing the golem to fall apart. Raichu landed and saw what was happening to Storm. "Don't worry Storm, I'll be right th-" Raichu was unable finish his sentence as he felt an excruciating pain coming from his chest. A golem with a rock that has been eroded enough to have a sharp end as a hand impaled Raichu through him. Raichu quickly destroyed the golem but began to feel weak.
