Chapter 1

"Dad, what if i get sorted into Slytherin?"

"Then Slytherin will gain a brilliant young wizard, but if you're worried about it you can choose Gryffindor"

"Really?!"

"Really, the sorting hat takes your choice into account. Now come on,the trains about to leave!" Harry Potter told his son, Albus.

As he walked along the unfamiliar path to the train, Albus could see his aunt Hermione fussing over her daughter, Rose.

"Have you got your trunk?"

"Yes"

"Your jacket?"

"Yes Mum"

"Good, OK time to go. Bye. Oh, one last hug! Bye darling, hope you have fun. Listen in class and get your homework done on time and don't get into to much trouble. Listen to your teachers and write to us. Yes remember to write to us and..."

"Mum, I'm going to be OK. Stop worrying!"

"Oh, yes right. Bye darling. Remember that it doesn't matter what house you get sorted into. BYE!!!!!

"Goodbye Mum" Rose's voice faded as she went through the door and sat down, accross from Albus, in a nearby carridge.

Albus look out at his Dad and wondered if it was true. Did the Sorting Hat really listen to you?

"Oh, stop worrying. I was just kidding. Hogwarts is a great place. It's not scary at all." Albus's older brother, James told him " It's safe! With Dumbledore as the Headmaster and..." He hesitated as he wondered whether to say the name or not. "...everything's safe, no need to think otherwise."

James was going into his 2nd year and he knew something that Albus and Rose didn't. He knew that the remaining Death Eaters from the Battle of Hogwarts had formed a group.

They were now, together, stronger than Voldemort ever was.

James had been told by his Dad so he could keep Albus and Rose safe at Hogwarts. He had been told everything but he was told not tell them, for their own safety.

"Anything from the trolley kids?"

James looked around and started choosing from the wide amounts of odd sweets. He bought four things; Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans and three Chocolate Frogs.

Rose and Albus got the same and they showed each other the collectors cards from the frogs.

"I got Dumbledore." Rose exclaimed.

"Me too!" Albus said in reply.

"That's the Headmaster's brother. Albus, you were named after him. He died in Dad's 6th year." James told him, regretfully.

"HOW?!" Rose and Albus said together.

"Oh, um, he... he... he fell out of his offic window when he was trying to grab something just out of reach..." James didn't know what to say and what he made up just sounded ridiculous.

"Oh, well, um..." Rose said, popping a yellowy, browny coloured jelly bean into her mouth. "YUCK, WHAT ARE THESE! IT TASTES LIKE VOMIT! DISGUSTING!!!!!"

"Ha, what do we have here." A boy said as he walzted in like he owned the place. He had white hair that was combed back, flat across the top of his head. "Looks like..... a couple of Potters and a ... let me guess... a Weasley."

"Can you please leave Scorpius. Or do I have to make you!" James said as he pulled out his wand.

"Ooooo! I'm so scared. James is going to curse me! Well I'm not leaving. I can't be bother looking for another carriage."

"STUPEFY!!!!!" James yelled as Scorpius fell, unconcience, lying across the seat.

Two Slytherin 2nd years came by, saw him lying there, told James off and carried Scorpius off to another carriage.

"Who was that?" Albus asked James.

"Scorpius Malfoy. He thinks he's the best. He's going to be sorted into Slytherin, I can tell. He's got the attitude."James replied.

"Come on, we should go get our robes on, the train's nearly arrived at Hogwarts!" Rose exclaimed.
