Xahria let out a laugh, and Kreo joined her. Rowen rolled his eyes while Kai gave Kenric a murdered look. Kenric shrugged his shoulders and picked up the fallen bucket. "It was a mistake. I didn't see you there."

"Just change your clothes before the dinner starts," Rowen muttered. Kai shook his head and removed his shoes. "Yeah, they are setting up the grand table. Make it quick," Xahria said.

Rowen looked at Xahria and Ezarah, who were standing near the stairs. "Where's the other two girls?" Ezarah pointed upstairs. "They are getting ready."

"Is Rhyss going to show up?" Kenric asked as Kai left to change his clothes. "Yeah, he will be there in ten minutes. Aubree will rush over to meet him first."

"Cool." Xahria pushed her hair back and looked at everyone. "I'm joining everyone downstairs."

"I'm coming with you," Kreo said before wrapping his arm around Xahria's shoulders as they walked towards the staircase. Rowen tapped his fingers on the desk, not knowing why he wasn't feeling like going downstairs.

"Aren't you coming?" Ezarah asked. "I will be there in five minutes." Ezarah nodded and followed the others. During the car ride, Rowen drove Aubree back to the house while she smiled and hummed. She expressed happiness about meeting Rhys and mentioned having a great time with him.

He didn't know what their relationship was like, and he had no idea if they were dating or not. Aubree hadn't mentioned anything about dating Rhys and had no idea why he was itching to know about it.

As he tried to collect his confused questions and emotions, he didn't see Aubree walking over to where he was sitting. "Aren't you supposed to be helping everyone downstairs?"

His train of thought shattered as he turned his attention to Aubree, a spellbinding vision before him. She wore an elegant white strappy midi dress that hugged her figure, the fabric parting slightly at the thigh to reveal a tasteful slit. Her hair flowed down her shoulders in soft, romantic waves, catching the light and framing her face perfectly.

A silent confidence radiated from her as she paused a few feet away. She crossed her arms, narrowing her gaze on him with an intensity that sent a thrill through him. She was strikingly beautiful in that dress, and he loved her ditching makeup.

"Eyes up here, Mckenzie."

"I— I'm waiting for Kai." She gives a nod. "See you two downstairs." Aubree turns around and leaves, not at all noticing Rowen checking her ass out. He lets out a heavy breath.

"Ryder's gonna have your head if he found out you were checking her ass." Startled, he turned around to see Kai. "I wasn't." Kai gave a blank stare before nodding. "Okay."

"So I suppose I should believe you were waiting for me?" Rowen scratched the back of his neck. "Yes."

"Great."

Now, it was Kai's turn to stop talking as Angel stepped out of the room. She was wearing a flowy white dress, her gaze fixed on the phone. Kai clenched his jaw before taking a step towards the staircase. "See you downstairs," he said, breaking Angel's attention.
