Characters: Sheirea, Luke, Blanka, Zoel, and Rinando.
Sheirea was a very happy child. All until she woke up one day to the sound of her house being barged into. She was very young so she didn't understand what people were doing in her house, but she did know what it meant when someone wasn't just sleeping. She got up to see if she could stop them or protect her family from being hurt. In the end, her older sister, brother, and father died that night. Her mother somehow survived, only with one injury which was a hit to her knee causing her to wear a cast and use crutches for what felt like the longest. Her mother began to put the blame on her, even though she was only about 7 or 8. She started to tell at Sheirea whenever she was reminded of their families death and even slapped her when she wouldn't listen or obey her.
On the first anniversary of the deaths, Sheirea decided to escape the life she had to fight to survive in for a year. She couldn't take it anymore and hoped her mother would get help, but she couldn't stand the abuse anymore. Sheirea didn't know where she would go when she left, she just went wherever her feet would take her by chance. One day, her feet brought her to a partially broken down warehouse..
Luke was the kind of kid that if you knew him, you wish you didn't. He was the one that would be rude to people for what seemed like no reason, and he would not listen to anyone who wanted him to. But what people didn't know, was the full story of his life. Luke was a witness to a person trying to murder someone else in an alley he used to get home, he then wondered what it would be like to kill someone himself. Being only a child, he didn't understand that it was not a good thing to do. He decided to try and kill his younger brother while he was sleeping. His mother found out the next morning and didn't want her son to go to jail, so she kept it a secret.
That was a mistake.
She ended up killing herself a few months after the incident because she couldn't face her child the same as she used to and she didn't want to be the next one he killed. Luke was forced to go into foster care, and even then, it wasn't pretty. He was poorly treated by his new parents because they thought he was a terrible addition to the family and didn't fit them or their name. He didn't want to stick around for much longer, so he ran away. He never really had a clear destination, he just went wherever his mind told him to go. Wondering around in the far side of town, he found a broken warehouse, and he walked to it.
Zoel was the oldest in her orphanage. Her parents left her on the building's doorstep because she was an unplanned baby and they didn't have the heart to get an abortion, they wanted the baby to at least have a life. They didn't want it to be bad, but that's just how it turned out to be. People that visited the orphanage wanted young children to raise, but Zoel was almost 13, and nobody wanted a child that old to raise. Day after day , young parents would come in and look for the perfect child to call their own and she was never picked. She got sick of it and decided to leave without telling the owners or any of the other children that called themselves her "friends" when they talked bad about her all the time. While on her journey to her new home, which she didn't know where it would be, she stumbled across a partly worn out warehouse.
Blanka and Rinando are twins, they are loved by many people in their neighborhood. They have a nice home with their mother and it's a two story house, almost like a mansion. But what people didn't know it's that they have done many terrible crimes. They've killed to get the pleasure of it, they've stolen valuable items and sold them for money, they've raped people even. Both Blanka and Rinando didn't know how to stop doing these things, because they never got caught doing them. They were never confronted by people or police saying that they are suspects of the crimes committed. But today, they we finally found out. Police came knocking on their door and were there to arrest the two. Before they could do that though, the two children ran away to wherever they wanted to go. They soon got tired though and saw this worn down warehouse from afar and decided to go there for a rest.
These five people didn't know what they were getting into when they arrived at the same place at the same time. And soon while they met each other and heard the backstories of one another, they formed a group and named themselves The Runaways.
