Months have gone by and the war is finished, Aizen signed the NDA agreement given by the government. The government gave Aizen his token of appreciation. Aizen went home with more money than friends. More wealth than dignity.

He returned back to his neighborhood with sights of families sobbing because of the losses of their loved ones and his friends. His mother welcomes him back and was surprised by the money Aizen came back with, but she realizes that Lance is missing.

"Did your brother..." she heartbrokenly muttered. Aizen sorrowfully affirmed "Yes," then he added, "Lance courageously fought in the battlefield, but was shot and died from his wounds." His mother mourned the death of Lance while Aizen has to live with his misdeeds and sins.

The knock on the door was neither the father they were wanting to see nor was it the letter from Aizen's college they were anticipating but rather a catalyst that would turn a simple life into a world of sadness and regret.
