Why is everyone blaming my mother, for the things she didn't even do? Di niya kasalanan pero siya parin ang sinisisi."Inay, why don't you just tell those people, that its not your fault?" I asked looking at her.
She turned her head and looked at me with sad eyes.
"Ang sama nila, Inay! They're blaming you for stealing even though it was not you who did it!"
With trembling hands, she caught my hands and squeeze it tight.
"Baby, Don't blame them" Then she hugged me tight. "They have their own share of problems, wag na n'ting dagdagan"
"Meron rin po tayong problema! Pero inisip ba nila yon? hindi po!" Kumalas ako sa yakap at tiningnan nang deretso ang aking ina.
"They're horrible people, Inay!" Like as always she would stare at me with sad eyes.
"You're becoming like them, when you think like that" She took a deep breath. "I want you to be the opposite. Be nice to them, Cass"
Di ko naiintindihan!
"But why?!"
"Cass, people are kind but when blinded by anger, jealousy and other emotions, nakakagawa sila ng bagay na pag sisihan nila sa huli" She smiled and urges me to held her hands.
"Do I need to be kind?" I innocently asked.
"Not always." She said.
"What do you mean?"
"Sometimes, people tend to use your kindness for their own gain"
"Sabi ko na nga ba! I told you they're bad people!" Mother began to look around because I was shouting loudly.
People were now looking at us weirdly. My mother looked at them and apologized.
"Shh, don't shout. You're getting us a lot of attention" I pouted at what she said.
When we got home I went straight to my room and closed it. I hugged my pillow tightly when I heared footsteps.
Then someone knocked.
"Anak" I didn't move.
Akala ko tatawagin niya ako ulit pero wala na akong narinig na tawag.
I stopped hugging the pillow and looked at the door.
Weird.
Whenever I would (stubbornly) not talk to her, she will not stay silent and would tease me until I'll talk to her.
But now she's silent. I was about to left the bed when a loud sound startled me.
It was coming from outside. Suddenly the door was opened loudly, and Inay walked towards me with sweat on her face.
"What happened?" I stopped being stubborn and asked her a question.
"We need to go!" I was about to ask her where we're going but she caught my hands and run towards the door--leading to the backyard.
"Anong nangyayari?" I was confused but looking at my mother was scaring me more than ever.
She had this look that something is gonna happen--and its not gonna be good.
"Inay!" I shouted ng nakita kong may isang lalaking papunta saamin wearing clothes similar to a royal guard would wear.
Akala ko may gagawin siyang masama sa'min ngunit senenyasan niya ang akimg ina na sumama sa kanya.
My mother followed that person while dragging me with her.
Ano ba'ng nangyayari?!
"Inay! What is happening?!" I was scared and confused. She looked at me with nothing but fear on her eyes.
"We're leaving" She said and continued following the guys towards inside tge forest.
I have so many questions! Aalis? Asan naman kami pupunta? And why are we following a stranger! Kilala ba ito ni inay?
Mag tatanong na naman sana ako, ng may kamay ang kumapit sa kabila kong kamay, making my mom loose her hold on me.
She looked at me with wide eyes.
"NO!" she shouted to the person that is dragging me away from her.
I shouted and was punching the person holding me. I looked at the person but because I was crying, my tears was blurring my vision.
I was shouting while crying until I felt a cloth on my nose. The next thing knew, everything was dizzy and then, I fell asleep.
