Chapter 1

"Hurry up girl we aint got all day". Okay ill be there in a second give me one more minute."fine but hurry i have to get your baby cousins to school".okay i said as i was looking for the necklace that was my mom's since its the only memory i have of her."got it"i rushed out of the house since my aunt was waiting for me and it was the first day of school since winter break and i did not do much except help my aunt babysit and text stella and grace oh and sometimes romain i opened the car door and sat in the front as i pulled out my phone."did you forget anything" nope i said laying back and listening to music over all the crying noises.

"I mean we texted all night and it was so romantic"said stella as she started to take out her phone to show me proof "see its so romantic"yea i wish i had a boyfriend" dont worry your time will come soon". Before she can say anything else grace showed up"let me guess she is talking about alex" yep" " you better let that boy sleep somedays she said all defensive since grace has always been closest to alex and he was like a little brother to her since grace is an only child.
Before she can say anything else romain and alex showed up "hey star" said alex to stella "hey" she said smiling.

"Oh btw there is this new arcade in town and me and romain was thinking of checking it out do you guys wanna come" yea of course" oh okay what about you grace
"I can't go i already promised brittany that i would go shopping with her". "Oh want about you mira" i have to check in with my aunt first".

"K guys i gotta go" he said as he and stella went off ." Yea me too said grace as she rushed off. "Yea i need to go too" said romain "umm where do you think you are going right now we have first period together i said as i started opening my locker.

"Umm the bathroom" he said but before i could say anything else he just ran off so i decided to just go to the janitor closet and read my book since it was ussually our hangout spot.

I was next to the janitor closet and as i opened the door there i saw brittany the popular girl and romain kissing then i shut the door and ran.

"So you and brittany" i said acting like i didnt see what i saw this morning as me, alex, stella and romain were walking to the arcade.

"Why didnt you tell me i mean we have been friends since kindergarden ". I said harshly.

"I didnt think you will care much besides we were gonna tell everyone" he said "besides lower your voice and please dont tell anyone mira i will tell them myself especially grace". He said

" Fine" i said as we both ran up to catch up to alex and stella "what were you guys even talking about" stella said as she whispered in my ear"oh nothing important".

"Oh my god that was so fun grace is really missing out" i said still laughing at a joke alex said." Ugh i am hungry who is buying" said romain as he sat down next to me.

"Alex should buy since it was his idea to come here to begain with"i said. Ugh fine i will be right back he said as him and stella got up to go get us food.

So your 18th birthday is coming up i still cant believe your older than me but smaller than me" he said smirking. " jerk".

"Finnally some food what took you so long where you making out" shup up romain said alex as stella rolled her eyes.

Dinner was annoying since the whole time alex and romain where racing to finish there and stella was just talking to grace about fashion i wonder how we became friends in the first place.

As we walked out stella started talking to me" you know me and grace decided to shop for your birthday dress and brittany to help you shop for your birthday please".

"Yea sure but why is brittany coming" i said remmembering earlier, " because it was her idea and she has the best ideas". "Yep i am sure he does".

" Mira let me drop you home" romain said as he opened his car door for me. "Thanks but my aunt will probably get mad if she sees me with a boy at this hour".

"What do you mean your aunt loves me", "true" i said laughing.

You are probably wondering how i became friends with these people well i met romain in kindergarden after he came and sat with me.

I met stella in pre-school since my mom and her mom used to be best friends.

"I met grace later in second grade and for as long as i can remember grace was always popular since she had shiny blonde hair unlike me who has red hair.

I met alex in first grade because he has been romain best friend for a long time and we started talking.

I still can't believe that we have been friends for such a long time but my guess is that we are not perfect for example.

Grace is adopted since she was little
Alex parents are always fighting
There is always pressure on romain
Stella lost her sister to suicide
My parents died in a plane crash

Were not the lucky group at all.

"Wake up princess we have arived to your castle the queen is waiting".said romain laughing.

"Well i think the queen will be really mad at me if i stay out too long" i said playing along while laughing.

"Well goodnight princess" he said "goodnight" i said as i walked into my front door.

I saw as romain started the car and left as he waved today was a long day i said to myself as i tried to go to the stairs as quietly as i could.

But my uncle was there with his belongings there."you and auntie got in a fight i asked him as i took a snack and went to sit down next to him.

I looked at the time it was 11:00 "yep he said stating the obvious "you know you dont have to sleep down here dont we have a guest room" i said grabbing the remote to watch netflix.

"I am not a guest in my own home" he said, as i just started laughing at what he said he just smiled at me.

"Wait i am going to watch with you lets watch a movie" he said as we both grabbed a blanket and some snacks and started watching the movie.

And by the time i knew it i was asleep with my mom's neclace on me.
