Bad Luck

Amelia's PoV

"So how was it?" I questioned. The second I brought up Jack's date I saw him change from his usual boisterous self, to more nervous and reserved. It was my first day off in a week so I invited everyone over to my rented house, for a little meet up including Evie, James and Ben, and of course Ty, but I had asked Jack to arrive a little earlier so I could get the lowdown on his date. "It was good, she's perfect I really like her". "Awwww that's amazing! Have you told the others yet?" I asked wanting to know if it was still a secret. "No not yet, I wanted to make sure it was right for myself before I told anyone but I knew I needed your help with the flowers- which by the way she absolutely loved and I said exactly what you Told me to and she was in awe that I had done something so special, you're the best". "Haha I know I am" I giggle and Jack pulled me in for a hug.

"Am I interrupting something?" A deep voice filled with anger said from behind us. "Ty you're here early" I said not thinking too much of the situation. "Yeah I came here to spend an hour or so with you on my own before everyone turned up, but I can see you have company." He turned to leave and I was confused by the whole situation. "Wait Ty, I don't understand, what have I done?" I desperately questioned wanting to know what the hell has just happened. "Are you kidding me? I've tried so hard to show you that I am interested in you, and you're clearly happy to be entertained with any old footballer" signalling to himself and Jack. "Woah mate you've got this twisted! I would never move to a mates girl." Jack was clearly angry that ty would think that of him and rightly so. "You two clearly have a lot of shit you need to sort out, so I'll be back whenever anyone else gets here" and with that Jack got up and slammed the door.

"Are you fucking serious right now?" I asked clearly annoyed by his actions. "Yeah I am serious! How would you feel if you walked in to a very emotional and intimate scene with Evie and me, and you had no idea that she was there". He said clearly confused about the situation, but I didn't care Tyrone has thought so little of me and Jack and I was absolutely livid. "Believe it or not Ty, I trust my friends and I trust you not to do something like that to me!" The second I said that I saw a wave of regret come over his face. "Y-you trust me?" he asked lowering his voice to a quiet level. "I did but now I just don't know". "Why should I trust someone who doesn't even trust me, or one of his best friends for gods sake" I said hurt by Tyrones insinuations. "I'm sorry, I never meant to hurt you or Jack I just didn't understand why else he would be here". Me and jack are close Ty, If I want to invite him over before you, you Have no right to question my intentions. "You are right, I'm sorry. But why was Jack here?" He asked confused about the situation still. "I was having a catch up with him that's all". And with that Ty dropped it, knowing he had already pissed me off enough. "I'm sorry"

Tyrones PoV

I spent the next 40 minutes trying to get Mia to forgive me which was incredibly difficult bc she loves to hold a grudge. Even after giving her my best puppy dog face she still was annoyed at me. "I really am sorry" I said brushing a piece of her hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear. "I guess I just feel insecure sometimes, I can't help it, I've had a lot of girls use me for my money or want to be with me for the attention that comes from dating a footballer". She stopped and thought about her response. "Look Ty, I like you a lot, for you, and not for your money, and god knows I don't want any of the clout that comes from dating a footballer. I've never even dated a normal person, all this is very full on and I feel confused" she admitted. "Confused about how you feel about me?" I asked. "Well sort of, Ive never experienced love and Ive never wanted to because of what happened with my parents, and the fact that I feel such a connection to you honestly scares the living out of me". "Mia, I want more than anything to show you that love is good, let me take you on a date?". I watched her tense up and go all nervous. "I don't know, I really shouldn't put myself in a position to fall more for you" she said. I instantly felt upset at her comments, of course I understood why she felt this way but I just wish she realised that she is beautiful to me and that I would never hurt her. "Please give me a chance" I begged. "Okay fine" she replied, and I pulled her into my arms for a hug and kissed her head. "But the guys will be over any minute and you have to apologise to Jack" she said whilst poking me with her index finger on my chest.

Amelia's PoV
I sat with Evie, James and Ben on one of my two three seater sofas whilst Ty and Jack were in the kitten fixing drinks, and I can only assume making things right between them. "So how are things between you and Ty?" Evie teased. "They're good, but I'm just testing the water, you know, I don't want to put myself out there and it all end in disaster!" I replied with a sigh. "Babe, the thing is sometimes it's better to dive right in rather than test the water, because without being fully submerged, how will you ever know if you can sink or survive!". I knew she was right but I can't help but be apprehensive with Ty, he is too good for me and could have any woman he wanted. "I can't swim anyway" I Mumbled back and Ben and Evie burst into laughter. "What's so funny?" Ty asked entering the room with Jack. "Oh nothing, just laughing about how Amelia still can't swim" Ben said. And that caused them all to start laughing. "Guys come on this can count as bullying!" I said whilst also joining in with the laughing, not really caring what they thought. Just then, my phone began to ring and the familiar number belonging to my boss flashed on my screen. "Oh shoot I need to take this" I said as I got up from my place on the sofa and went into the kitchen for some privacy.

Tyrone's PoV
Mia went into the kitchen and within a couple of minutes were heard her voice getting louder. "But I'm the best at what I do!" She said down the phone. We all looked around at one another and we knew that there was something seriously wrong as we could all hear the panic in her voice. "I know the store like the back of my hand, please, don't do this!" She pleaded once more. "Okay, I understand". And with that her phone call ended. For a minute or two there was silence and then Mia entered the room with tears evident all down her cheeks. "What's happened?" Evie asked standing up and pulling her into a hug". "The business is going under and they can't afford to keep my on anymore, they've made me redundant!" She replied and began to crying hysterically. All of us knew how much she loved her job, even if she was completely over qualified, you only had to look around her house and see all the plants she had and loved. "I'm not sure what else I can do!". She sighed. "How am I going to pay the rent". We could all see that she was going into panic mode and we knew we had to calm her down. "How about we forget about it until tomorrow?" James suggested. "Yeah for tonight we can just have fun! Maybe have a couple drinks or watched a movie!".

Amelia's PoV
They guys were so sweet to me. I couldn't believe what had happened. We spent the night playing drinking games, my Favourite was when we put on twilight and drank every time Bella said it's did something stupid, needless to say, we were all tipsy afterwards! After we had all decided we were drunk enough, people started calling taxis to come pick them up. They said their goodbyes to me and told me not to worry. Soon it was just me and Ty. "Do you mind if I stay?" He asked wrapping his arms around me from behind. "Of course not" I said as I spun round and faced him. The way he was looking into my eyes was driving me crazy, I knew that I wouldn't be able to resist him for much longer. "You know, for one smart girl, you don't half have some bad luck" he said as he lightly caressed my cheek". "Trust me, I know". "Well I promise I'll help you in whatever way I can Mia, we will get through this and hopefully, me and you will come out of it closer". He whispered, his words were slightly slurred due to the alcohol, but I knew he meant it. "I hope so, it's about time I had some good luck" I said into his chest.

Things just keep going from Bad to worse for Mia! But I'm so glad she has such a good support network around her!

Sorry that I've been M.I.A for the last week or so, I've just been soooo busy.
