"what were you thinking!?"

We left 15 minutes after the boys and drove to the park. We parked in a hidden spot so no one could see us , it was pitch black anyway. we walked towards a group of figures we saw , knowing it was the boys. As we got close enough we saw they were facing more than one boy. they were facing a group of 9 boys and there was only 5 of them. We stood behind the boys and josh spoke up.

"oh so you bought your bitches too" he remarked and we glared at him.

"no , the fuck are you talking abou-" mattia said , he turned around and saw us and so did the rest of the boys.

"what the fuck are you doing here!?" kairi said and as they were facing us , josh and his friends took it as a chance to have the first hit. Josh gave the first punch to mattia and i winced as i saw him get hurt. i was trying to get the 3 boys off ale and jemma was trying to help kairi and jason and naomi was dealing with jaden. jemma walked over to josh and punched him right in the nose and it started bleeding , so he got off mattia and walked closer to her. kairi grabbed josh and punched him again and they were fighting again and 5 boys came onto jaden and jason and the other 3 boys were being beat up by mattia and ale. i saw something shiny in one of the boys pockets who were fighting mattia and ale. i could only guess what it was and i had to get him away from ale and mattia. ale was pulled back by another boy and they started throwing punches at eachother. i saw the boy with mattia reach into his pocket and i ran towards him.

"DONT YOU FUCKING DARE" i screamed as i jumped onto him and he fell to the floor and the object fell out of his pocket. a knife. a really sharp knife. everyone stopped fighting and stared at me and then the grass where the knife was laying. mattia looked at me and i couldn't even tell what he was feeling or thinking. the guy was going to stab him. i shuddered and looked at the guy on the floor and he was looking at josh.

"you bought weapons? what a bunch of pussies" jaden spat and helped jason up off the grass. josh and his friends had nothing to say.

"too scared to get beaten by us?" ale said ,pushing josh.

"i dont fuck with pussies who can't fight , so i advise staying the fuck away from us unless you want a round two , with no weapons" mattia said , standing infront of him and josh backed down a little , even though they were basically the same height. 

"let's go" one of josh's boys said and they all got up and started walking. a part of me wanted to run after them and smack him but i knew that would cause another fight to break out and they still had the knife so i left it. Our boys watched them walk away , to make sure they were out of sight before we left.

Mattia looked over at me to make sure i was alright but i knew he was mad. i looked over at jemma who was getting into the car. i got in after her and me and naomi got in the car and we were about to drive back home , when jaden got in the car. we looked at him.

"it's the middle of the night , we aren't letting you drive alone" he said and it was silent the whole ride. We pulled up to jaden's house because he doesn't live with his parents and none of our parents would be okay with seeing them in the state they were in. Jaden had 3 spare rooms and so we would have to share with our partners. The boys all stormed upstairs to their rooms and jaden gave us all mini first aid kits and we went upstairs after them. 

i walked into the room and the bathroom light was on. i opened the door and mattia was standing infront of the mirror , looking at the cut on his cheek. he saw me come in and didn't say anything. i opened the kit and put some of the mini alcohol on a cotton ball and looked up at him. he still wasn't looking at me so i moved his arm off the counter and pushed myself up onto it so i could properly reach his face. i gently put the cotton ball on his cut and he winced slightly at the sting but he let me carry on. i cleaned it up and put a small plaster across it and we stayed there looking at each other for a few seconds. all i wanted to do was hug him but that wasn't going to happen right now. we heard shouting from the other room. kairi.

"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?" we heard him shout.

"WE WEREN'T GOING TO JUST SIT THERE AND WAIT FOR YOU KAIRI" jemma shouted back.

"YOU SHOULD HAVE" he replied and i rolled my eyes and mattia saw me.

"he's right y/n" he said , looking at me.

"no he's not"

"we told you to stay home because it was dangerous for you to be there , why is that so hard for three of you to understand" he said and i felt my blood boiling.

"it was dangerous for US? i'm pretty sure you were about to get stabbed mattia!" i replied.

"i told you to trust me , i would have handled it. you shouldn't have been there because you could have got hurt" he said and i looked at him. is he serious??

"WE DIDN'T GET HURT THOUGH ,DID WE? BUT YOU WERE GOING TO MATTIA WHY CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT" i shouted.

"WHATEVER WAS GOING TO HAPPEN TO ME, I COULD HAVE HANDLED IT. I WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ABLE TO HANDLE THAT HAPPENING TO YOU , WHICH IS WHY YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN THERE" he shouted back and i just looked at him.

"i don't care what you say, i don't regret coming because if we hadn't then you would have been in a fucking hospital right now" i said.

"i don't need you to protect me , i could have done that myself" he said and i rolled my eyes and got up and went downstairs to get water. i took a sip of water and leaned against the fridge and took a deep breath. jaden came into the kitchen and took out some juice. i felt bad , his home was full of couples arguing. 

"i'm sorry about the shouting j" i said and he smiled at me.

"don't worry about it. are you okay?" i nodded.

"do you understand why we didn't want you to come?" he asked and i sighed.

"no , i don't"

"because mattia would rather himself be hurt and put in hospital than risk anything happening to you" he said and i looked down. that sounds like a mattia way of thinking. i felt bad now . he would rather get stabbed than have me anywhere near danger. he's so stupid but i love him for it.

"i get it now. thanks jaden. i feel stupid now" i said quietly.

"no , you both have a point. but i wanted you to understand his point as well" he said and i nodded.  i finished my water and said goodnight to jaden and went back upstairs to our room. i couldn't hear anymore shouting so i assumed they gave up and went to bed. i walked into the room and mattia was sitting on the bed in the white t shirt he was wearing under his hoodie and some black sweatpants that were probably jadens or jasons. he looked up at me and looked at his hoodie and some other black sweatpants on the bed.

"jason gave you some sweatpants and there's my hoodie" he said and i nodded.

"thanks" i said quietly and went to the bathroom to change. i came back out and mattia was getting the bed ready. we both got into bed and fell asleep , facing away from eachother.
