"Wonder is in her eyes."

Navalis is experiencing the start of a war. When she is recruited—forced—to join the ranks with her motley crew, fear and happiness are her most predominant feelings. They are treated less than ideally but it is to be expected. It isn't every day that orphans sign up.

However, it appears that perhaps they are not the most normal people around. Not many of their comrades glow angelically, are able to hover above ground, or feel the ground shift when no one else can.

Navalis is not the only one to notice.

In the blink of an eye she is whisked away elsewhere. Somewhere where extraordinary powers are normal, animals are wiser than people, and dangerous secrets are held under lock and magic.

Despite the giddy thought of freedom, there is an underlying danger that hides in the otherworldly beauty of this new world which could destroy Navalis and everyone she loves. The fate of Neu and whether they all live rests in her hands; but is she ready to shoulder such a burden?
