Chapter 4: Attack Of The Killer Garage

Ava's POV
Danny, Tucker, Sam, and I were sitting at a booth in the Nasty Burger. The place was never the cleanest nor the healthiest for anyone. Tucker was listening to Sam as she talked about what we should do Saturday. Though Danny seemed zoned out.
"So Saturday night plans, I say we hit the amusement park. I hear it has a new rollercoaster with a free fall that will take three years of your life expectancy." Sam cheered
"No way it cost forty bucks just to get in there not mention food and stuff." Tucker protested
"Hey if you're tapped out I can loan you the cash," Sam suggested
"Leaned mean repay and repaying is out of my reach, right Danny?" Tucker said
"Danny? Hello, you there?" I asked as we all looked outside the booth
Dash was handing invitations out to his stupid party. Danny has always been the type to want to be popular and in the cool social club. He always figures it out too late that he should be happy with the close true friends he has.
"Great it is the hottest party of the school year and Paulina's going and I'm not again," Danny complained
"I don't understand what you see in her," I complained
"Are you kidding she is only like perfectly flawless," Danny replied causing me to sigh as we look to see what she was doing
"Ok um, let me get the mighty meaty cheesy melt. Um, how meaty is it?" She asked the cashier
"That would be mighty meaty." The cashier said annoyed
"Well can I get a might less meaty." She requested
"That's one mighty meaty mini cheesy melt." The cashier said as she put in the order and Paulina smiled
"Your right she's a goddess," Sam said just as annoyed as I was
"I don't know why we don't get invited to the really cool parties. We've got style, charm, good looks, at least I do anyway." Tuck complained
"Oh come on. On the social circuit, we are as invisible as Danny and Ava is their ghost mode, not that it will matter five years from now. We have each other though right." Sam said
"Of course," I started but Dash walked over and slapped an invitation in Danny's face.
"Here, your sister made me invite you, though you are welcome to join Ava."Dash started looking over at the rest of us "Just you two! Show up, shut it, go home, and nobody gets hurt."
"Hey Danny." a random girl said as Danny beamed with excitement
"What's up, Fenton. Party!" One of the jocks cheered and left
I never bothered learning their names. What was the point? I mean I don't talk to them on a daily.
"See you, Saturday Danny, ~" Paulina cooed annoying me
"I-I'm invited. I've arrived!" Danny screamed
"Swell send us a postcard from popularity-ville." I sighed as Danny got out of the booth
"I will." He said running off
"There he goes again, off to find popularity," I complained getting up to leave for home
All he really thinks about is Paulina and popularity. Never his friends or what ghosts could be escaping the ghost zone as we speak. Some times he can be so self-centered.
*Time skip to school*
"Seriously Danny ever since you got that invitation your all about the 'in-crowd'," Tuck explained
"Come on Tuck that's ridiculous. Kwan, looking good!" Danny yelled
"Fenton-mister, wooo!" Kwan cheered
"He's right Danny it's like," Sam started but was cut off
"He Fenton, Ava, get over here," Dash yelled
Danny grabbed my arm and pulled me over as fast as possible. I turned my head back mouthing to Sam and Tucker sorry. They looked very annoyed at the fact Danny just left them.
"If your coming.to my party you have to look the part. This is what we are all wearing Saturday, very high in, very hip, very dash. You do have one right?" Dash explained to Danny
"Huh, uh yeah on sure I have two that's how hip and high in I am." Danny lied
"Well wear one. I might have had to invite you, but if you embarrass me your sister is going to be doing here thesis on your bruises." Dash threatened "Oh and Ava wear whatever you like doll face."
Dash walked away while I gaged at his flirting attempts. Danny seemed visibly terrified. Though he had this coming to him. Honestly, I just plan on letting this play out till he learns his lesson.
"Oh man, this must cost a fortune. Where am I going to get the money by Saturday?" Danny complained
"You know I almost hate to offer," Sam started
"Hey Danny, you want to hear my new CD it is really crunk," Paulina asked
"Is crunk good?" Danny asked
"It's Paulina." Tucker simply said
"Crunks good. Be right there." Danny said and just before he dashed off I grabbed him by the shoulder
"You know Danny if this goes south or it's not what you thought, don't come crying to me," I said letting go of his shoulder and walking away.
*Time skip*
Danny's POV
I saw Ava walk into the house this morning, though I have no idea why. Last time she talked to me she seemed fairly angry with me. I put it to the side and continued to sell the stuff I got from the shed with Sam and Tucker. Like my parents said if I want something I got to earn it. Mr. Lancer came by asking about a piece he wanted to use for a vacuum.
"It is a perfectly good vacuum motor Mr. Lancer, only used once. Ten bucks." I said
"Looks to be in fine shape. This should fit perfectly with my hair hornet very nicely." He said and handed me a ten-dollar bill
"A hair hornet? Those crazy vacuum/hair clippers they sell on TV. Don't you need hair for that?" Tuck asked
"Good one Mr.Foley I'll remember that one on Monday when I am grading tests." Lancer snapped and walked away
"Just sold a toaster. You know I am surprised your dad is letting you sell off all this stuff. He is such a packrat." Sam said walking over to us.
"Yeah well, he's been planning on getting rid of this junk for a long time. He won't even miss it, I hope." I mumbled the last part
"In other words, I don't think he knows." I heard a voice say
Turning to it I noticed it was Ava. Though she didn't look very happy to be here. Before I could ask her anything Tuck interrupted.
"I am pleased with the turnout today we are doing a very brisk business," Tuck said cheerfully
"Yeah well, I am still twenty bucks short for what I need for those sweats," I stated
"You're still welcome to hang with us. Mega movie marathon at my place." Sam suggested
"Your place? Wow, you've never invited us to your place before." I laughed
"That's because we are usually fighting ghosts with you and Ava. I figured it's time," Sam tried to say but was cut off
"Hey, Festina! Dash yelled as I rushed over
Ava's POV
"For you to totally ignore me for the billionth time this week," Sam complained
Danny ran off to Dash of course. I turned to Sam and Tucker telling them I couldn't make it because Jazz asked me to watch over Danny at the stupid party. I saw Danny sell something else and walk back over to us.
"You guys don't mind cleaning up do you, no, thanks." He said a ran off
"So now we are his clean up crew too?" I said over the top annoyed with Danny's behavior
I looked at Tuck to see him running in the other direction yelling see you tonight. This left Sam and me to clean up. This took almost two hours and that was with my ghost powers. By the time we finished we were both tired and wanted to go home. We said our goodbyes and went our separate ways. When I got home late afternoon I changed to some black combat boots, grey knee-high socks, blue jean shorts, grey tank top, blue flannel, and my gold chain on my shorts. Right after I left to walk around before the party. As I was walking my ghost sense went off. I made sure no one was around and transformed. I flew around the area for a bit until I saw Danny tied up by a razor cored.
"I just got my hair the way I like it on my head." Danny said franticly as the razor changed to a big knife "And I am way too young to shave!"
Though I hated Danny right now I knew I need to help. He changed into ghost form and fazed out of the restraints. I blasted it with an ecto-beam catching Danny's attention but at the same time the razor swung down causing me to miss.
"Hey, it's a haircut, not a head cut," Danny yelled
"That's called execution." I snapped
"I thought you said you wouldn't help me." Danny smugly said adding gas to the fire
"I didn't know who was in trouble when my senses went off!"I yelled
Annoyed I flew down and punched the razor down to the ground. It changed to scissors and went to cut Danny and me, but I went intangible and he split his body in half. Danny grabbed the cord causing him to get pulled along. I flew right behind as we fazed through a building. Danny spun the scissors around and threw it causing me to have to duck. When I looked back up Danny was swooping down to save his sweats form a car. I flew down to him angered. As soon as I hit the ground I detransformed as did he.
"I know I should be concerned and I will be, right after the party." He said
I growled at him even more pissed off. I started to walk away towards this stupid party to watch him. Just I was a few feet away Danny spoke.
"I could take you there, so you don't have to walk all the way." Danny offered calmly but with a hint of sorrow.
"No thanks," I replied still a bit angry
"Come on I don't want you getting hurt." He insisted
I thought about it for a moment, "Fine." I replied stern
I got on the scooter behind him and grabbed onto his waist, so I wouldn't fall. He tensed a bit at my touch, but quickly shrugged it off and rode to his place to change.
*Time Skip*
"Ahhh," Jazz shrieked "Great leftovers."
"Well, how do I look? Is it the bomb? Is it fresh? Is it stupid with a double O?" Danny asked sliding into the kitchen as I leaned up against a wall.
"Definitely stupid," I mumbled
"Oh it's stupid I'll give you that." Jazz replied
"Oh, you'll change your mood when you see me at the party." Danny said proudly "When are you changing?"
"Not changing, not going." Jazz said
"What you're the only reason Dash invited me." Danny protested
"Not caring." Jazz continued
"CODE RED!" Jack yelled
"And not staying." Jazz said walking away "Make sure you watch over him."
"Will do," I replied
"Someone raided the junk shed while we were away! Danny did you see anything!" Jack screamed in Danny's face
"Uh, no no not a thing, but," He worriedly said as Jack dropped him as he walked away "We should compare notes after the party."
He grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the house. Slamming the door behind us. The sky was almost pitch black and the air was a little chilly. The only sound was our feet on the sidewalk and the crickets in the grass. It was surprisingly peaceful and calming. We walked most of the way in silence until he spoke up.
"Why have you been so mad at me recently?" Danny wondered
"Really you have no idea?" I said stunned
"No what did I do?" he asked
"You'll find out soon enough," I replied just as we got to the party
Danny was giving himself a peep talk as to not make a fool of himself. I sat on the rail waiting to go in and get it over with. Once he finished he finally rang the doorbell. Dash opened the door wearing identical clothes to Danny's normal ones.
"Uh, Dash?" Danny questioned
"Oh right, your not really part of my posie so you didn't get the E-mail. You see after buying that computer stuff I didn't have enough money to buy the sweats suit, so I changed the dress code to loser chic." Dash explained letting us into people wearing clothes like Danny, Sam, Tucker, and me
"Oh well." Danny sighed as Paulina walked up to us
"Oh, you like it? It's so horrible it's cool." She said then looked at Danny with disgust "Ugh, who dressed you your mom?"
Danny went to reply but she walked away. I walked up to him smugly.
"Good luck with your cool kids, Dan," I said
I patted him on the back and walked upstairs away from the crowd. After reaching the top I leaned on the railing to watch from above. Danny tried over and over to talk to people but they all turned him down. Eventually, he made his way up here.
"What am I doing these people aren't my friends. Even if they all look like them." He sighed
"I am glad you finally came to your senses. Maybe next time you'll listen to Sam and me, maybe not Tuck though and for a good reason." I said as he laughed
"Yeah, I should be grateful for the great amazing friends I have," he added
We walked a little way down the hall when suddenly our ghost senses went off. I looked at Danny confused and he turned to me with the same look.
"That's odd," Danny said
"You could say that again," I added
Danny opened the door beside us slowly. I stayed against the wall to keep from being seen by the ghost. I heard a kind of old and robotic laugh coming from the room.
"I am Technis master of all things mechanical and once I complete my construction, you will all surcome to my awsome p-p-pow. What is wrong with me?" Technis stated
I took this as my chance to transform into a ghost form. Seconds later I was in my black jumpsuit, white zippered romper with a hood, black pouches, red gloves, red sneakers, and red mask ghost suit.
"The upgrade Dash still hasn't upgraded the software. Oh no your not getting that upgrade disc and making yourself more powerful." Danny said just as I fazed in
"Man you're an idiot," I said disappointed
"What another great idea, to heck with toutering you should be a teacher!" Technis cheered
"He would be the world's most clueless teacher." I laughed
He shrugged off my comment and lunged at the bed to get the disc. Technis pulled out a toaster and blasted him sending him to the closet. Danny went intangible and fazed through the door. I smacked Technis down on the bed when he went for the disc. This made him smack me to the wall and knock down a few pictures. Danny flew out of the closet and to my side.
"You two are a formidable opponent, but a little wet behind the ears perhaps you could use a little drying off!" Technis suggested
He opened the dryer door in his chest and sent two extendable claws at us. Pulling us into the dryer and turning it on, we spun around. We were shot out onto Dash's dresser causing it to break. Technis ran for the disc and grabbed it. Danny then lunged at him flying him into the speakers, afterward hovering above him. I flew to where the disc was and went to grab it, but it wasn't there. I look over at Technis to see it was placed in his disc slot. It started to spark and loaded the software in upgrading himself. Danny and I looked at one another briefly, went intangible, and flew Technis straight out of the house. He grabbed us both by the wrist and threw us to the side. We both screamed as I caught a glimpse of Sam and Tucker with the Fenton thermos. We both smacked against a wall.
"Hey Sam, hey Tuck, glad you could make it," Danny said
"Good to see you could join the party," I added
We slide to the hard ground of an alleyway passed out. Moments later I woke to find Danny flying to Technis. He went to punch him but bounced off. He tried again but bounced off again. Flying up another time he punched him like a baby would punch something, small and fast. Technis swatted him away like a fly, sending him plummeting to the ground. He landed in front of Sam and Tuck pissed.
"Guys help!" Danny yelled
Danny flew back up to Technis still attempting to fight him. Sam and Tuck turned away from him, while I sat on the ground watching.
"Come on guys!" Danny wined as he kept fighting "Guys come on seriously!"
Danny flew back up to Technis's height. Technis swung at him over and over. Danny dodged each time but eventually stopped and spoke. While I walked next to Sam and Tucker
"I-am-sorry-I-choose-to-hang-with-the-popular-kids-instead-of-you-guys-it-was-stupid-and-shallow-and-I-will-never-do-it-again." Danny rambled while dodging then Technis punched him to the ground
"How can we be of assistance?" Samm asked as she and Tuck put their hands on their waists
"He is running on an old version of Portals XL data software," I explained
"That piece of vaporware, it's the worst software ever," Sam complained
"Keep him busy. I think I know how you can beat him." Tuck said
"That I can do," Danny said about to fly off
"You're going to need my help," I mentioned giving him a smile
We both flew in front of Technis, catching his attention.
"Get back you hunk of my dad's junk." Danny insulted
"Could mear junk do this," Technis stated
He opened the dryer door and brought out a robot hand and remote control. He pressed one of the buttons changing our clothes to western outfits. This went on as we changed multiple times to game show hosts and star trek.
"Give me that!" I yelled
I took the remote and changed us back. Technis took his claw and smashed us to the wall.
"Tucker anytime," Danny complained
"I'm trying! I'm trying!" Tuck snapped holding his PDA
"What's wrong?" Sam asked as we keep getting smacked into the wall
"I'm trying to bypass the program, but I can't. He must have some kind of upgrading." Tuck explained
"What do we do?" Sam questioned
"We need the latest version of Portals XL, but where are we going to get it this time of night?" Tuck asked
"Doesn't matter just find one before we are pummeled!" I yelled
"Leave it to me," Sam said pulling out her phone and dialing a number
"Guys?!" Danny questioned
A lady in a pink jumpsuit pulled up on a scooter. Ignoring that I went back to focusing on not being crushed.
"Here you go, Sam." The lady said
"Thanks, Tracy," Sam replied
"Wow, you have access to the latest technology after hours," Tuck said shocked
"Yep," Tracy replied
"What else can you do after hours?" Tuck flirted
"Tuck now is not the time to flirt!" I yelled
"Just sign the voucher sir," Tracy said angrily
Tuck signed the paper and the lady left. Sam walked over to Technis causing him to look down at her.
"Uh excuse me I'm Sam. I don't believe I caught your name, so you should scream it really loud and shout out your motive." Sam suggested
"Hello, I AM TECHNIS MANIPULATOR OF MACHINES! LORD OF ALL GADGETRY! WIZARD OF INTEGRATED CIRCUITRY!" Technis yells
"Go on," Sam said bending down to pick up some power cords and go to plug them together "Isn't there more you would like to tell me?"
"OH YES I AM ALSO MASTER," Technis started but began to glitch "OF All..."
"What's happening?" Danny asked
"Looks like a bit of hacking," I stated
"Portals XL is happening. Everybody knows that the new version of Portals XL has a gigantic hole in its security system." Tuck explained
"What, NO!" Technis screamed
Danny and I have released form the claw. We both flew to Technis and grabbed the claws that were holding us.
"Process this!" Danny yelled
We shoved the claws into the CD slots causing it to spark. His face screen lite up error.
"Wait that doesn't go there!" Technis screamed
"Time for you to sort circuit your way out of here and in the Ghost Zone," I remarked just as his suit powered down
"And now time for my final trick," Tuck said
Tuck tossed the thermos to us. Danny went to catch it but I lunged in front of him.
"Not so fast, my turn." I said
I flew to Technis and opened the cap. The blue beam surrounded the suit as Technis was sucked in. He began to scream but as soon as he was in I closed the cap. All the parts that made the suit fell apart. Danny and I flew down to Sam and Tuck.
"Nice going, Tuck." Sam complemented
"Don't thank me thank lousy software." Tuck said
*Time Skip At School*
"So, what's the damage from this weekend? Did you get in trouble for taking your folks stuff?" Tuck asked as we walked the halls
"Not really. I hauled it back to the shed yesturday while they were out. My dad's checking every peice for goverment surveillance devices." Danny explained
"Sound like you got off easy." Sam stated
"Maybe to easy if I say." I added in a scolding tone
"Well, I do have to return those stupid sweats so I can refund everybody's money."Danny said as he stopped walking and turned to us. "And I still feel terriable about how I treated you guys. Of all people, I should know how it feels to be invisible."
"So would you say you've learned a lesson from all this?" Sam asked leaning agianst a locker
Danny looks to Dash at his locker making me look. Dash opens his locker a bunch of pink and purple teddy bears. They all flood out of his locker and onto the school floor.
"Fenton!" Dash yelled
"Yep. That one person's trash, is another person's revenge." Danny said smugly
We all begain to laugh. I tried to hold the laughter but it just bursted out.
"So that's what was in his closet." I said
