As a preface, I would like to say that I hate my own writing upon looking back at it. I don't want to be associated with it, and I don't want anyone to know I even made it. Imagine, if you will, the whole ordeal of the Dark Angels and the Fallen from Warhammer 40,000.
"No one must ever know."
But, I was offered money ($150 USD to be exact) to rewrite this story, more cohesively, with my improved writing skills, and to include my old ideas I omitted or skimmed over. Though it isn't a large sum of money, it's still money for a stupid reason. After all, as of this writing, I'm out in the middle of nowhere on a job for three months, so I have a bit of time to kill between each call. Sadly, I recall all of the story and ideas, as this horror show was burned in my mind.
Though, this time around, I will (more than likely) keep other folk's characters out of it, due to the time and place of this initial writing. However, due to me being unable to omit ideas and collect the payment, I may have to add them. The time I am on this job leaves me off the grid entirely, but, that time draws shorter with each passing moment. The length of the original story's ideas, if written in similarly short chapters, would have reached a rough total of 297 chapters. Of course, each, "chapter" took roughly five to ten minutes to read. So, overall, it would be likely that I am unfinished with this rewrite by the time I return. At that point, I should be likely able to add small guest appearances, as that was part of the original concept. In turn, if you wish to have someone of your own making added, feel free to ask such in my inbox. I'll need a hefty sum of details, but some ideas / details may conflict with the overall plotline. Overall, however, it should work.
Now, as everything is more defined and properly organized, I can continue with this forsaken story. Let us hope that my recently more macabre and grim writings don't make this worse than it was before.
As I've been writing this, I have officially realized that I could simply change a few looks of characters and have my own, unique story. Perhaps one day I'll write a full fantasy novel. I may have to. I have an idea for an urban fantasy. Certainly won't be here.
