Aria let out a sigh once again.

She was now sitting in front of a familiar black-haired man who she desperately didn't want to get along with. From an outside perspective, it seemed like they were a sweet couple having a peaceful dinner.

"I wonder why Miss Aria is sighing?"

"I don't know, maybe because a certain jerk decided to pester me?" Aria rolled her eyes as she looked at the feast served before her.

Aria and Dion were now sitting inside a VIP room in Papillon. Yesterday, Aria had contacted the number.

He was already waiting for her and immediately set the meeting time to the this day.

"Oh my, should I help take care of that jerk?" Dion said in a playful tone.

"You-! Let's not waste time with pointless small talks. What do you need?"

"Miss Aria' knowledge regarding the powers," The joking tone disappeared. Dion looked straight into Aria's eyes.

The room's atmosphere thickened.

Aria's fingers gently brushed against her own palm. "And what makes you think I know.. more than you?"

"My intuition is godly," Dion said with a straight face.

Aria blinked. She didn't expect that to come out of his mouth.

"I don't mind, but.. Don't you think there should be a reward? Good information is often priceless,"

"I will promise you one wish. As long as it's within my capabilities, I shall do it,"

Aria weighed out the choices.
Like she experienced before, nothing was certain. Dion had awakened his power faster than in the past.

That would mean that future occurrences, including high rank gates with the potential of mass genocide might also happen ahead of the time, far before any of them got stronger.

There was a possibility that even if Aria was the only one who had godly stats, the massive scale gates would still appear.

In the past, the gate difficulties seem to match the user's growth. The first S-rank gate didn't appear before several Grade 7 users and higher were born.

If this theory was correct, then it would mean that Aria would be the only one capable of taking down the high-ranked gates when they appeared. A single gate was fine, but it was just a matter of time before hundreds of gates emerged. She couldn't possibly travel to all sorts of different places just to take care of all the gates.

It was possible to ignore the gates, but the monsters are capable of getting out after a period of time. If only she was a cold and ignorant person, she wouldn't have bothered, but since she would technically be responsible for upping the growth rate, she felt like she should do something.

Principles and morals. Noblesse oblige.

Being born as a Schreiner, a powerful but upright family, Aria had her own perspective on the saying.

Help those who are worthy of receiving help.

If Dion were to become her ally, or at least not become her enemy, it would severely impact the future outcomes.

Dion had a very distrusting personality, so he was a one man army in the past. The bad thing was that he was a battle junkie for life.

However, unlike him, Aria didn't want to fight continuously. She desired stable living conditions. In the past, the world had been thoroughly devastated by the monsters. The death count had reached more than 2 billion by the time she dued. Enacting revenge was just a side goal.
