third person pov
tadashi yamaguchi had been seeing him since he was younger. he didn't know how or why he saw him, he just did. the first time he met him was when he was in elementary school.
it was sunny day out. yamaguchi was at school, walking through the playground.
"why are you so puny?" yamaguchi turned around to see who was talking, but was pushed down, wincing as he came in contact with the dirt. he looked up and saw 3 boys standing above him.
again?
"you've got to bulk up, so you get to carry all of our bags." the boy in the middle threw his backpack at yamaguchi, the bag hitting him in the face. his face was stinging as he felt tears starting to form.
"seriously? you're crying?" the boys laughed at him. yamaguchi couldn't help but let the tears roll down his face. even though his vision was blurry, he could see a figure behind the boys.
the figure was taller than all 4 of the boys. he had short blonde hair, very pale skin, glasses, and golden brown eyes.
his eyes.
his eyes were like a pot of honey. despite this, his eyes looked... lifeless.
"huh?" the three boys turned around. "what are you looking at?" yamaguchi's eyes widened, tears still falling on his face.
the three boys looked back at the crying boy. "say something, crybaby!" they continued to laugh and mock the boy.
"lame."
the boys felt a shiver go down their spines.
"pathetic."
yamaguchi stared at the tall boy, eyes wide. he could see him go past every boy and whisper his words into their ears.
"did you guys hear that?" the boy who talked the most looked at his friends in confusion, all three of them white as snow.
"w-what are you doing?" the boy in the middle pointed at yamaguchi. "you think this is funny?!"
"let's get out of here before anything weird happens!"
the boys ran away, leaving yamaguchi and the tall boy all alone. without saying anything, the blond walked the other direction.
"t- thank you!" the blond snapped his head towards the direction of the voice. he stared at yamaguchi, who was now standing behind him, looking down at the ground. he looked around, for a second before pointing towards himself.
"me?" the smaller boy nodded, slightly confused. "you can see me?"
"of course i can see you." yamaguchi was looking at the other boy with a confused look, but the other boy's eyes were open wide. He started to pace back and forth, mumbling to himself as he did so.
RING
"oh, that's the bell. i'll see you around! what's your name?" yamaguchi had a small smile on his face.
"tsukishima." tsukishima pushed up his glasses.
"i'm-"
"yamaguchi, i know." yamaguchi was taken back. without saying anything, he waved and turned to head back to class.
how does he know my name?
yamaguchi decided to ask. he went to turn around to ask the young boy his question, but he was gone. yamaguchi looked around, but he couldn't find him. he let it go and walked to class.
the school day had just ended, and yamaguchi was ready to head home. he was watching the ground as he walked, when he saw something in the corner of his eye.
"hey tsukki!" tsukishima flinched when he saw the green haired boy walking towards him.
"don't call me that."
"sorry tsukki!" yamaguchi started to walk, tsukishima following him. "so how do you know my name?"
"it's a long story."
"i have all day! or rather until i get home." tsukishima sighed.
"well, i guess you could say i'm like your guardian angel? but i don't know if that's what i should call myself if you can see me." tsukishima stopped talking out loud and started to mumble to himself again.
"wait, so i'm not supposed to see you? that's why those guys couldn't see you." yamaguchi nodded his head, a look on his that showed he was thinking.
"you don't think that's weird?"
"no. i think it's cool actually! being able to have someone only i can talk to!" yamaguchi had the brightest smile on his face, and tsukishima could see a sparkle in his eyes.
"i guess so." tsukishima wouldn't admit it, but a small smile had formed on his face.
"wait, how come you look the same age as me? wouldn't you be like really old?"
"i think we grow up with you, and at a certain age we are mature enough to realize what we have to do. for example, we have to protect you. this morning, i protected you from those bullies."
"that's so cool! ya know, i think we are going to be good friends!" yamaguchi turned towards his house, skipping up the driveway. "let's go tsukki!"
"i told you not to call me that."
(a/n) so i started a new fanfic that i will hopefully finish. this chapter was short, didnt make too much sense like half of the stuff i wrote, but it isnt the worst chapter i wrote. this chapter was just so you understood what was going on. if you see any mistakes with spelling, or something that i forgot to get rid of because i changed the beginning a million times and it doesnt make sense, dont be afraid to comment lmao. also i forgot that they were in elementary school halfway through writing this so if they sound too mature to be in elementary school, thats why. um hope you like it. bye bye !
