You know that feeling you get when you walk alone?
The feeling that somebody else is there?
You get the sensation of footsteps behind you
But you are too afraid to turn and look.
Your heart starts to pound...
Adrenaline courses through your veins...
You begin to grow nervous...
You think that walking faster will save you; Save you from whatever may be lurking in the shadows that you leave behind.
The palms of your hands drench with sweat.
Your mind races; It races faster than you are racing whatever is behind you...
The thought of "Who is it?" slashes your brain.
Finally you turn and look...
And behind you... stands nobody...
Do you know this feeling?
The feeling that somebody else is there?
Of course you do... everybody knows it.
This feeling is... scared.Sitting in your living room
In your own house, all alone...
You hear a creek in the floor boards upstairs.
An eerie feeling drops into your stomach.
A feeling that something else is there.
"It's just an old house," you continuously tell yourself.
But deep down, you think further.
Your thoughts are tortured by the phrase
"But...what if I'm not?"
You begin to consider every possibility...
Crooks, spirits, demons... perhaps something of inhuman descent...
Hiding... watching...waiting;
Hiding, watching, and waiting for you!
Your heart once again starts to race.
Adrenaline floods you veins at an enormous pace.
Your actions become fidgety; you cannot control yourself!...
You finally muster up enough courage to investigate.
Your footsteps are heavy and slow;
Heavy and slow as you ascend towards your possible doom...
Shaking with nerves, you look and... nothing is there.
Do you know this feeling?
The feeling that something else is there?
Of course you do... everybody knows it.
This feeling is... scared. You know that feeling when you're all alone?
That dreaded, uncomfortable aura that surrounds you?
When you're on the street,
Or in your own home? The sensation of a strong pounding heart
And adrenaline possessing your body?
The uncontrollable nerves and movements?
The sweaty palms and irrational thinking?
The feeling that drives you absolutely,
And quite literally, insane?Do you know this feeling?
The feeling that someone, or something, else is there?
Of course you do... We all know it...
This feeling is... scared.
