"How is he feeling?" the big man asked.

"I don't know, and I honestly don't care."

Blanka looked at the younger man's profile. He stood leaning against the railing, watching Central Park stretch ahead of him. Blanka had to admit it. Lee's family had a taste.

"But you saved him."

Yut Lung looked sharply at the man.

"Sing asked me to."

"And? You know that we don't always get what we ask for. Each time we must demand it. Was the request enough?" Seeing no reaction, he decided to change his tactics. "I know you can't understand the relationship that connects Ash and Eiji, but believe me... similar connects you and Sing."

The boy moved his mouth to deny. He said nothing, however. The man smiled as he turned back. It was just as he thought. He decided to give it a rest. For now.

"Do you want to see him?" Yut changed the subject first.

"No, I don't want him to think me a wimp. Ash doesn't expect anyone to care." He thought for a moment. "Maybe later when he wakes up. Now I don't want to disturb him."

"Your choice." He bounced his hands off the railing. The conversation was over. He left a scent of jasmine and marks on a thin layer of snow that covered the terrace.

Ash woke up to a lively conversation that went on next door. He couldn't deduce anything from her.

"Was it that bad with me?"

He moved his eyelids, letting glare in his eyes. The image was blurred and very limited. All he saw was the hazy outline of red lanterns that were clinging to the ceiling. He wanted to move his neck but encountered resistance, as was the rest of his body. Faceless human figures appeared in his field of vision. He looked at them worriedly, expecting the worst. Unexpectedly, a high voice split the silence. The silhouettes moved away from Ash, who saw the red lanterns again. He felt a slight twinge. The image magically began to focus. At first, he thought that some beautiful girl returned his movements and eyesight. It took him a moment to see Yut Lung's dangerous eyes.

"I can see that sleeping beauty has finally woken up," he laughed. However, seeing the murderous look immediately became serious. "Don't look at me like that. If it was up to me I would let you die like a stray mongrel there. You don't think it would be quite funny if you were killed by a simple knife stab." He chuckled in disgust, sliding his pin through the bandages on the wound. "You fell low," he added.

"What does it mean ... from you?!" he panted.

"I mean what it means." He put a cup of steaming liquid in front of him. He could smell the ginger and herbs. He looked at Ash for a moment. Seeing that he was not reaching for the prepared infusion, he sighed irritably. Without taking his eyes off him, he reached for his cup, getting a little bit drunk and putting it back down. "The taste is not very sophisticated, but I'm not planning to poison you."

Ash drank this time.

Yut Lung stood up with the intention of topping him up, but the blond turned the vessel upside down. Yut looked at it with disgust.

"This is not a bar."
"You did not answer my question."
"Which?" He looked at him innocently.
"You know well."

Yut settled down, putting the kettle down.

"Sing asked me to." He didn't look at him. He paused, feeling the tension emanating from the blonde. He knew that he would put his patience to the test and he would enjoy it. He slowly ran his fingers over the long braid, which he had intricately braided a few hours ago, sitting in front of the mirror. "He found you coming back from the airport. He wanted to inform you that this boy of yours has departed. Sad isn't it?" He gave him a sidelong glance. "You did so much for him, and he didn't deign to quit his life in Japan for you, or even wait at this airport. Hey, wait! Where are you going?"

"None of your business."

Yut Lung threw back the braid as he got up from the chair.

"Mine, since you are my guest and you stay in my house!"

"Yours? Have you already got rid of everyone in your family if you are so high?"

The boy was stunned. Ash passed him, heading for the door. He knew his people were standing there. He will defeat them. Like others. However, opening the door, the picture blurred again. Someone caught him in flight. Then darkness enveloped him again.
